It sounds like you are aiming for quantity over quality.
Maybe focus more on recruiting and nurturing the right players rather than trying to make the numbers?
Our clan total varies from 15 members to 30+ members, but we have a core group of players who have stuck together and helped each other. As a result, we are a happy clan who operate in a good and effective way.
If you haven't already, check out Daddy's latest video about leading clans. He makes some very good points which, hopefully, could help you out.
Good luck with your clan.
My secret sauce is this: we are an adult war clan only. Meaning, I'm only interested in the best, so I only talk with the best. In global, I block out all the other noise and try to have real conversations with people. It doesn't always lead to the top level people joining us, but we have had a lot of great guys come and go for a war or two and really enjoy their company.
What you'll learn being a leader is just like in college football, you're always having to go out and recruit. It's a never ending cycle. If you don't like it, then don't be the leader. It comes with the territory. I have found that when we get over 30 members, people start acting all goofy in wars, etc. Keeping it around 30 members is ideal, in my opinion.
Also, for war clans like ours, we found having the top guys isn't the best. We have a lot of friends/family in our clan that are new to the game and just starting out and might have rushed their bases a little. With that said, we are trying to encourage them to build and raid in between wars. Bringing in top level players creates these intense lop-sided matchups in war. When you lose 2 in a row, morale gets low and people leave.
Having quality members that are mature, active and fun to be with is what we strive for. We've found a great core group of guys and gals that are just amazing. Some come, some go, but always be real and talk to them like they're your friend while trying to recruit them. Find out their desires.
Remember, when recruiting it isn't about you. No one cares about you. They care about them. They want what's best for them and if you don't remember to show what you have is best for them, they'll never join. If they want a farm clan and I come at them with "WE WAR ALL THE TIME!" they will definitely not join. So just know how to approach people and feel them out. Be real.
That's my two cents.
Find new players should be #2, retention should be #1. Keep a good core group of guys and eventually new members will find their way. My clan for the most part stays away from recruiting from global, only forum recruiting and only serious applicants.
We're a family of clans and we're doing pretty good.
Most of the members in my clan are either friendz or family and they end bringing people in as well. Currently have a farming clan and a serious war clan.. we make sure the good attackers are in the serious war clans.. we don't like to lose war!
A website always helps;)
Really, building a core of loyal members is the beginning.
Quality is more important then quantity.
Get clashers with the same mindset and you'll see a steady grow of loyal dedicated members.
i don't really know but maybe this will help you. I have a clan, a new clan. I'm th9 and the first step is to know one thing. You can look for th9-10 members but it will be hard, or you can look for th7-8-9 and let them grow up. Look for the most actives (looking their stealed resources) You can make a blog or a website with the rules and something more. Take it serious, if anyone doesn't fulfill the rules, kick him. And the most important thing... 2-3 hours of recruitment at chat would be nice, but spamming your clan on famous youtube channels would be better.
This is really true and important. Don't waste your time chatting in global to random people who likely don't really care about joining or staying in your clan. The clan that I co-founded has over 100 war wins and has fluctuated between 15 to 50 members. We kick people who are rude, don't listen, and mess around in wars (obviously after first meeting requirements to get in). This is obviously a bit more of a strict policy, which is the result of being an old clan.
When we were first growing we put a lot of effort in to training our members and giving them a lot of attention. We gave people multiple chances as long as they were dedicated and willing to a learn. A lot of our existing members were actually not great clashers when they first joined. They had poor war stats and weren't efficient at farming. Almost a year later, these same players now train and give advice to our new recruits and they have much much better stats. Giving your team attention will make them loyal. Don't let bad apples stick around either. The clan has to have a social environment, which takes a lot of work. As for the second task of finding new players, once you have a solid foundation, people will gradually find their way in to your clan, and if you have objective number 1 figured out, then you are golden. If you want to get better talent. Have a few people push for trophies and have the clan take war seriously. Kick slackers to get your war record better if you need to. Good luck!
As the owner of 4 clans that we started just 6 months ago I will try and help you out a bit. These don't always work, but they have helped us out a lot. First thing was we needed to come up with something catchy for a clan name. This makes it so that you have a branding that no one else has. There are tons of people that say that you should stay away from global, but I find that I can find some good eggs in with all that mess. But be warned when you go into global don't just spam your clan info go in there with the intent of just chatting with people. If the people in global see that you are a good fit with them they will ask if it will be okay to join. Get to know people rather than just spamming your information over and over. Twitter is also a great place to find people in clans. This also just be careful not to spam tweets. People will stop following you. Running you clan is not easy work. It takes a lot of time and patience to get the right players in. Don't try and go from 10 to 50 fast. Let it grow organically and it will happen. Get to know the different social media and find where you fit into it all! Best of luck! Oh and if you watch YT videos on this topic they are helpful too. There are a few out there!
Honestly,
We have been recruiting family and real life friends. Basically, we get them hooked and then coach them up. They are always a text away, which is nice. There's more loyalty there too. It helps if they have a large disposable income :D
