max Town Hall 7 cant defend against full dragons?!

my dad has full max level defenses on TH7 and is still always 3-2 stared in clan war from full dragons. he cant even stand a chance because they use lightning to take out an air defense and from there his defense is hopeless. no matter how many anti dragon bases he makes he is still 3 stared by full dragons and thats why I think dragons need a nerf of some kind like adding more seeking air mines, lowering the HP and/or DPS of dragons, or making some defense have a damage multiplier against dragons

Dragon almost useless on th8++
they even need buff 4 air defense kill them almost instant

Without spells you can 3-star almost every level 7 townhall with level 1 dragons.

Mass dragons being more powerful than TH7 makes sense to me.

i agree. We should make dragons useless for 7-8 just as they are for 9-10. Then we can just delete dragons from the game since NOBODY will use them. Brilliant idea!

pps: if he is max TH 7, then he should be upgrading to 8. If he wants to stay at 7, he's going to continue getting raided by dragons so he needs to learn to deal with it.

Well, don't forget, TH7 also gets level 2 dragons. Yet a noob TH7 can spend 4 days upgrading a barracks to level 9 to unlock dragons, simultaneously upgrade his spell factory to get a 3rd lightning spell, and now he is guaranteed to be able to 3 star any TH7 base.

That's out of balance. I'm totally fine with level 2 dragons being able to 3 star a maxed TH7. But I think the level 1 dragons should be nerfed just enough so that a maxed TH7 has at least a chance of fending off level 1 dragons (still a 1-2 star strategy).

The thing is, I don't know how much of a nerf is needed for a maxed TH7 with a good base layout to fend off 10-11 level 1 dragons (possibly one in the clan castle too). Would it be enough to shave some DPS and hit points? Just DPS?

And then what are we going to use for wars?
You see dragons are expensive and you wont buy expensive troop if you dont expect 2+ star win
If you are annoyed from mass drag then use it by your seld

The amount of time someone spends at th7 relative to th8-10 is so low that I don't really see this as an issue. Honestly people should just upgrade camps and troops and go to th8 at this point.

good missile placement defends any kind of air (or wizard towers in case of bats/balloons to help them) at th 8+esp th 9 + when you have 4. as max th9, you can have 4 - level 7 that gives 280 DPS each, 4 seeker mines (1500 level 1, 1800 level 2, only have one at level 2 atm) and the AQ (mine is level 20 in the center, can give hogs/air a bit of pain being like that) TH7 only has 2 missiles and most layouts force them on the outside (not sure if your dad does but from what I seen, most th7 missiles are easy get at on top of only having 2) so th7 are weak to air I guess....

Are the missles well centered? what is the layout like? Other then that I guess th7 vs th7 needs a bit of more fairness with the dragons but as others said they are bad th8+++
