My suggestion would be to have the war swords icon flash when there is a war attack taking place.

I think that the notification about someone attacking would be bvery annoying IMO. This should have a toggle on/off.
The indication of online players is ruled out since it destroys the player's privacy.
I can understand that. For those of is who enjoy watching our clan wars live I think it would be a welcome addition to the game.
Regarding the "privacy" pertaining to the online/offline indicator, I guess I just don't get that. I suppose supercell put their foot down on that one. I fail to see the privacy issue there. If they wanted to play alone then they don't have to be in a clan. There are many games that show a list of online players. And that addition would definitely help leaders to track which clan mates are active and social. I understand the decision has been made, but I would urge "The Man" to rethink that one.
SC cares more about what individual players want for themselves as opposed to what other players want for them.
Clan leaders already have access to the information they need to make informed decisions regarding their clan. You have their profile data, donation counts, trophy counts, and can see how they perform in wars. What you don't need to see is if they are paying enough attention to you.
Spoken like a true "member". The only people who I would see having a problem with this are those who have the means but choose not to donate when signed on or attack in wars when they are expected to by their clan.
It's interesting how defensive you get at the idea of a simple little green or red light indicating when a member is offline or online. It's not as if I'm suggesting we enable a screen share option or something that allows me to download their social security number.
One of these ideas are banned the others would annoy members.
Thanks for the update. As stated before, a toggle switch would be a good idea so the annoyed members could turn it off. It's funny to me though, the icon is already there. How bad would it be if it flashed briefly to let the player know that there is a live replay available for them to watch. It doesn't have to be intrusive. It can be a simple dimming and reappearing. I really don't think it would affect members that much lol.
I also made a request for an alert during war instead of staring at the damn war screen all the time. I think that's a great idea, but as far as people know when I am on, not loving it. As a leader with max troops, members always want my donations or just want to ask a million question. Sometimes I just want to play and be left alone, so I say no way on that.
Why would that be a problem for them? You already have that information. If people aren't donating enough, you can see that. If they aren't attacking you can see that. What doesn't need to happen is power tripping clan leaders demanding you talk to them whenever they see you online.
It's interesting how you say you need this indicator in order to manage your clan while siting donation rates and wars as the reason why when you already have stats that tell you these things.
You've clearly got issues you need to work out. Nobody is talking about a power trip. I don't remember saying anything about requiring someone to talk to me either. I do happen to like an active and social clan. The stats currently don't tell me if someone was online that day and simply chose not to attack in a war that they may have been needed in. They also don't tell me if someone is constantly on the game yet they have a lower donation ratio than others. I don't require a specific donation mark or ratio but I do expect my members to do what they can while they're around. If somebody is on all the time and rarely donates then I will have an issue with it. However if I haven't seen the person on much in the last few days and they don't donate I would understand a little more why they haven't been donating. Clear things up for you? Just a little bit? Not everyone is out to get you. Relax hotshot. Some ppl will become tyrants if the idea were ever inplemented. Not all of them. You don't like that. Find a clan that doesn't care about these things. It's honestly the same thing that happens now. Just makes it a little easier to weed out the members who are pulling their weight.
Any feature created must go through a vetting stage of worst case scenario for use and abuse. Thats whats Dahimi is stating. You may not use it to abuse your members but what you won't do wont stop others from abusing it.
No to online indicators.
