Grab a couple people from work. Everyone has some sort of device nowadays. Friends and family are pretty good too. Half my clansmen/women are drinking buddies or friends of my drinking buddies. Cheers!

I do have a few lol thanks ha

I get members 3 ways -

1) Personal referrals from members
2) Folks who find our recruiting thread in Looking For Clanmates
3) Folks I write personal, non-cut and paste messages to on "I need a clan!"

The key there is non-copy and pasted. There are a ton of those and they are pretty but that is it. Use PMs and give a concise message for folks to latch onto with a link to your recruiting thread.

And do not recruit off of global. Well maybe at first but be prepared deal with a ton of turnover.

Im a th8 and I want to make a th8 clan like enraged eight or elite eight but when I make one i cant get th8 to join anyone interested in making one?

Why not lower the minimum level of players you accept? This increases the pool of talent you are choosing from and you can develop the players how you want. Teach them to play the game your way. Darc Avengers has been doing this for the past 9 months. I was a lvl 23 TH4 when I joined. You don't have to go quite that low, but it made me into a strong player and very loyal member.

I find the following works:

• Just talk to people instead of actively trying to recruit them.
  Dont spam "join me join me join me" and other copied and pasted adverts
  I have recently made a clan website and seems to be going down well
