Even if you max out your troops it wont matter cause the other opponent who will be the same th as you will 3 star you like a boss while it will be way much harder for you to do the same. I'm almost maxed th8 and I don't remember someone getting 3 stars on my farm base either. Updated defense matter. A lot. The weaker your defense is the easier to farm you are. Even by those who are lower th then you. So as a rusher.. in the end you lose more resources and you get less. The difference between th8 and th9 is not such a big one. X-bows are not much different then an archer tower. Pretty much the same dps but it shoots faster which makes it a killer against low health troops. Th8 gives you a lot of opportunities actually with many succesfull attack strategy. Hogs can go up to lvl 4 which make a rushed th9 to be easy to 3 star. You get golems, pekkas up to lvl 3 if I'm not wrong and ofcourse mass lvl 3 dragon attack. Honestly, rushing is for those 14 years old kido who want to have dragon or pekka or don't know what troops and just lack the patience. And btw.. if rushing is so good how come rushed clans almost never win clan wars? (and when they do is because they got another rushed clan as an opponent lol). Anyway everyone is free to do what he wants. Just don't cry to hard when I'll overkill you in clan wars.
... and so are my clanmates. We war 24/7 by the way :)
For your information i have a rushed TH10 and TH9, I didn't rush for the troops nor things you mentionned above. If you want to know what rushers rush for and advantage we get, read all the thread about rushers in this forum.
Rushers nor Maxers harm its clan in war...

1. Get used to maxing as you will need the stuff leveled up when you get to TH8 and 9 anyway.
2. Weak bases with a rushed TH messes up your war matchup (every war we have won by 10 stars or more had a lot of rushed TH's)
3. Go ahead and level your stuff up at TH6 when you really wont be raided by that many TH8's because it isn't worth their time and no TH9 or 10 will touch you.
4. Farmers like me love to camp out in S3 - G2 looking for TH7 and 8's who have rushed, cuz with a simple raiding army I can 100% and take all your stuff.
5. Lets do some math. At TH9 my raiding comp (12 giants, 52 Arch, 52 Barb, 40 Gob, 8 WBs) cost me 70k (the number isn't important the fact is troop cost goes up every TH level). So you compound this rising cost with the loot penalty for attacking TH's lower then yourself. If I attack a TH8 not only do I incur the 10% penalty, but because of my troops being upgraded I spend 15-20% more on attacking. Lets say I raid for 150K of each gold and elixir. Right off the bat it is only 135k each cuz of the penalty, plus I am profiting 10k less elixir because of upgraded troops. So the profit assuming I didn't hit next 20 times (which is also a rising cost, that when compounded should be taken into consideration over the time spent at a TH level) is 135k gold and 55k elixir. Saving up elixir 55k at a time isn't that good, you aren't gonna get the 5.3M you need for lvl 7 wizards any time soon. Oh but yeah you only have lvl 4 wiz towers so you'll just get raided for the loot and have nothing anyway.
So lets recap here. Perhaps you could get away with rushing to TH6 if you wanted, but you build a pyramid from the bottom up and it is more then just about your base. Take the time in the beginning of the game to learn the mechanics of the game itself. Rushing puts you up against more experienced players and that means you have to adjust to a learning curve quickly. It also means that the 12 year olds who read this stupid thread think its ok to rush....get to TH8, get discouraged because of the climb they have to max it and stop playing. Skill and experience are built over time, don't influence people who are new to the game to make bad decisions right off the bat.
Back to my original point I enjoy the easy money that comes from rushed bases...so do whatever....just know I'll be waiting to take all your loot and show you why it was stupid....
... those who only max defenses and don't have war troops harm its clan in war. It's them who get you a bad matchmaking, just for your info. I can tell you maxers have a tendency to get bad matchmaking, especially those defense lovers who have 5 builders upgrading nonstop their defense.
If a Th8 really manage to get all the loot from my rused TH9, no problem, because i can easily 3 stars them back if i want to revenge (which i rarely do). Besides, i don't see much TH8 in crystal-master leagues... when i see one, they either snipe my TH or just zap my DE. Not trying to convince anyone to rush, just sharing my rushing experiences with everyone. :)
Everyone should max at every town hall
Everyone should max at each town hall level because, simply because of loot penalties, if you are a town hall 8, you will take 50% less loot from a town hall 6 than a town hall six would, so if you max out at every level you won't get flattened by people, or those who can take all of your loot won't take much because of the loot penalties. I used to be a premmie town hall 8 and I maxed and then joined a hardcore farming clan (ex family), I am now in a clan with some old friends from that clan, I am much happier that I maxed my town hall, because now even some town hall 10s fail against me.
