I Barch with a combo of 2 Rage 2 Freeze and a Heal. Normally I don't need any spells but once in a while I 3* TH9s for storages Freezing splash then Rage half the base into the core.

I like mine more, some rules:

- Upgrade TH when all the Walls are maxed
- Upgrade TH when all Elixir constructions are maxed (except Gold Mines)

Farming:
I leave one builder stopped, maxing Walls, so that no one can steal gold from me. The rest upgrades Elixir builds like Camps or Barraks.

If one of those two above rules is reached I upgrade TH.

This is made so I can freely raid all the time, without the problem of getting full storages.

what i meant was, with 5 spell not necessary you have to cook freeze. my point is the extra spell (5 compare to 4) helps a lot

There are no shortcuts, the time you saved by rushing sacrificed other troops that you just cant use effectively.

Rushing costs you leveled up Dragons or Hogs or Giants, Pekkas and Wizards, all troops that are fun to play with donate and develop strategies. The time you skipped upgrading those and focused on Lv7 Barch and Lv6 Loons is BORING. Not to mention that you must be so heavily reliant on your BK and AQ that upgrading them while you are at TH10 would handicap your game play you probably would shut down for a week.

so now what, you are TH10 with TH5 defense, you got max Loons and Barch, now you start upgrading all those other troops? it takes the same amount of Lab time to Max your troops any way you slice it, might as well enjoy the ride up.

No one ever gets it. oh well. I have definitely enjoyed my "ride" thus far . I am able to donate max troops that people actually request. I just never have to worry about overflowing elixir or gold. I'm perfectly happy with my setup, I would have quit by now if I had tried to max. Sorry for not agreeing with you, I'm sure your way makes you happy. Great job maxing defense in an offense based game, but really If it will all be maxed out in the same amount of time regardless, why not have a maximum army to do it with. Just saying... I can usually get around 4-5 mill per farming session as a rushed 9. I'm not hurting for gold/elixir, ever...and my troops will get maxed at the same rate they would heve, regardless of my rushed status. The only difference I see is that I always have a place to dump excess resources. And if I had stayed at 8 I would have watched my gold/elixir pile up for other 8's/9's/10's to steal...sounds like a great plan..

I don't mind having max gold and elixir. I have max wiz tower, mortar, cannon, archer tower, tesla, and 100 Legos. I like waking up and seeing the attempts at my loot, lots of comical replays to be had.

I get hit a lot due to having a southern teaser and loot right up front just begging people to take a swing. I get smacked every once in a while but that is so rare now that I have 90% max D

Another one that thinks I care if he tries to take my resources...lol. Let me spell it out for you. You get a shot at me once or twice a day(max) In the 2 1/2 hours a day that I play I usually make 4-5 mill.. And you might take 150k if your very good. 9/10 times I just get sniped though. I will extend the same invitation to you that I do everyone else. Come find me, I'm currently hiding here at around 1600 scared to death of all the big bad maxers...LOL. (One thing to note though, I just started my xbows to lvl 3. so the next 14 days are gonna be the best time for you to raid me, better hurry !)

I agree with you that it is not the only way to play. I just wish people could understand that the level of his defenses wouldn't be much different, if he stayed at 8 or rushed to 9. The main reason to do it is to be able to be "probably one of our best attackers". But yeah, to each their own. Maxing has advantages to rushing, not sure what they are, because to me, enjoying each th to its fullest doesn't really work. (not that when others do it they're wrong...is just my opinion)

There are many ways to play any game, no right or wrong way as long as you're having fun. There's just efficient and less efficient way of progressing. Rushing just happens to be the most efficient way of progressing in clash of clans.
