Why does this happen: Air Troops getting AGGRO by Ground Only Troops?

My question is, why are you trying to lure the cc? A full dragon raid on a weak to semi strong TH8 with bad air d placement does not require luring the cc. Zap out the stronger air d's and drop your dragons near the more exposed air d's. Full dragon raid on a TH7 is no contest. Zap out one air d and you're golden. 11 drags (1 max in your cc) should stand strong on those bases by themselves. If you're going up against strong TH8s or weak TH9s you should be gowipeing, which there is also no need for luring cc troops. 25-30 troop space gone just to fail at killing off/luring out cc troops is a waste of space and attack time. Just drop a rage and a heal spell right when your gowipe troops engage the opponents cc troops. The only time I would think it was viable to lure the cc is if you are lavalooning or hogging. And I HATE hogging. Hope this helps.

luring CC troops? has nothing to do with my issue

its about ground attacking only cc troops, aggro's air troops

the issue is when other ground attack only cc troops are left alone by air troops and not attacked by air troops.

The issue is why are witches skeletons given the ability to aggro air troops, when other liked ground troops do not. Just cause the witch can attack and thus aggro air troops, doesnt mean its ground attacking only skeletons should be able to aggro air troops even though they dont even attack the air troops

With all air raids, the attacking troops will trigger the defending cc troops (with the ability to attack flying troops) regardless of lure or no lure. If a witch is in the cc, she will come out because she has a ranged attack. Upon popping out, she will, by default, raise 3-4 skellies who will just stand there as they do not have a target yet. But the witch, since she is ranged, will aggro on the drags and shoot her little fireballs.

So I ask, do you even coc?:)

I see what you're saying now. I think it depends on the air troop. A dragon can attack air and ground units and they have an A.I. setup like a Pekkas where they target the closest target within its range or proximity, which includes cc troops OR buildings in that range. It doesn't matter if it is a troop or a building. The dragon's A.I. is telling it that THAT target (i.e. the witches skeletons) is the closer target within its range as if it were a regular building or structure. It doesn't matter whether or not that troop SPECIFICALLY targets ground, air, or both. It is just THE NEXT TARGET in its range.

Now if you are talking about change targeting like when your dragon is attacking a building and a cc troop walks up in its range, what I think happens is it's targeting will only changes if it is taking damage from a troop that attacks air targets such as an archer, which is what you want it to do as you were describing it. So lets say hypothetically a group of 1 archer and 5 barbarians walk up to that same dragon attacking the building, as soon as the 1 archer targets it and shoots at it the dragon will change target to that troop in order to neutralize that threat. BUT, as soon as it removes that threat its aggro will reset, and, being that they will always attack the next closet target in their range, the next target will be the barbarians as those troops are the next closest TARGET in their range. It is no longer the building it was targeting before the archer came up and shot at it since those barbarians that walked up to the dragon with that same archer are probably directly underneath it and closer than that building is at the moment it changes its targeting after its aggro reset.

This just isnt true, like not even remotely and makes me think ur not reading what i write or just trolling me

Air troops will never attack "troops that can only attack ground". This applies for all ground troops, barbs, balloons, pekkas, etc. The air troops will simply fly over these troops ignoring them.

The only troop that "only attacks the ground" that the air troops will target is Witches Skeletons. This is the issue of the topic

I am pretty sure that air troops, specifically drags and minions, will stop to take down BK, one that can only attack ground.

I could be wrong.

It's "aggro" is not reset. They will continue to attack enemy CC troops (or trap skels) until there's no more "near" them. With "near" being defined as less than 10 tiles away (maybe even longer).

First some archers which were attacking a dragon and the circled group of dragons aggro'd them. As expected.
Then the same group aggro'd some mages which were quite some distance away, ignoring the nearby AD and WT.
Once the last wiz was killed then they aggro'd the barbs which just had poped out of CC.

In the case of the wiz it was understandable because the wiz was attacking another dragon. But those barbarians didn't have the chance to attack anything, yet the dragons started chasing them, ignoring the AD, WT, Castle, Tesla, TH, etc. Only once the last barbarian was killed did the dragons bother targetting the nearest building (the TH).

i was referring to ground troops u create in like the barracks and not the heroes

though my drags are never AGGRO by the BK, they kill the bk when they are close to it, but never skip over everything just to target it , like drags do with witches skeletons (which pulls the drags over other targets/buildings to the skeletons)

the BK gets attacked but doesnt pull the drags
