Are you sure? I'm pretty certain I've seen witches generate skeletons anyway even if there's only air units around. The skeletons just stand there idle until some ground troop is spawned.
Yes, you are correct, the skellies do just stand there. BUT the difference is that with skellies, once a ground troop, no matter where they are dropped, will instantly be aggroed on by the skellies. Once that happens and those little effers dart across the base, the drags take notice of the movement and chase them down no matter what.
I stand corrected, they do stand there idle. Still if no ground troops present they are not much trouble for your drags. If you were to drop a hero, they would dart across the base.
I think it was clear, insaid air troops only, meaning no heroes used
those skeletons who are standing still will still aggro the drags, even, though 1) The skeletons are not attacking/active and 2) Will pull the drags over to them and the drags kill them 1 at a time, cause the drags to be distracted while the defense attack the air troops
since skeletons are ground only, IF ONLY AIR TROOPS ARE USED NO HEROES, then the drags should ignore them like they do balloons and shouldnt be aggro by them, but the drags currently DO get agrro and go after skeletons regardless if the skeletons are active or not

Scenario:
Attack troop: Full Dragon attack (no heros, no ground troops)
CC: 5 archers, 5 barbs and 2 balloons.
Are you saying that if I do attack, when my dg arrives the CC ratio, only the five archers will come out?
To the op, i think the answer is the witch and her skellies are "tied" to each other. Meaning, if the witch gets aggroed the skellies are included.
all the troops will come out, but only the 5 archers will be pulled/targeted by the drags
the drags will ignore the 5 barbs and 2 balloons, wont even attack them, will basically act like they are not their. even when in the units range, the drags will ignore them and pass over them
unlike the witches skeletons, who even though they dont get pulled, once the drags are in their range, the drags will aggro them
ya that is the obvious reasoning behind it
but it seems like thats a lazy programming thing,
bottom line other ground only troops dont aggro drags, then the witches skeletons shouldnt have the ability to do that as well
