For those who are farming strictly dk elixir, id like to know what army composition you use and at what trophy level?I am trying to keep both heros upgrading at all times so I will not have them for raiding. Gold and elixer do not matter at all. Completely maxed out defensively and have all maxed troops/spells as well.
For me....Loonion has been consistently reliable. I'm in C1-C2 and only farm bases with at least 2K DE. Since it sounds like you are maxed TH10, you shouldn't have any problems in M1-M2 where DE is more plentiful.
When I want just DE I use a hybrid Giant army. With a jump spell handy as wbs are spastic these days.
Sometimes add 4 Wizards reducing the archers, but hate the extra train time.
12 Giant
8 WB
100 Arch
20 Barb
24 Goblin
10 Minion
10 Minion because so many players like having their x-bows on the ground. I've quite a few times finished a core at the end with Minions.
Oh, and league. Higher the better, Gold I at an absolute minimum.
Depends what TH your at, and your troop levels, if your TH8 I would suggest a Giant/Arch/Barb/WB farming comp.
If your th9 then definitely Crystal League with Loonion. Max Level loons is pretty much a requirement for this and Minions 3+
I go with 24 Loons, 50 Minions. Works really well
Yeah. Loonions is the easiest call but quite expensive and slow to train those loons. Also you are using DE while you raid for it. I would go Giants for meat shield and Barch behind with a few breakers. Remember you aren't interested in the base just the DE so plan your attack around that alone. Only use what you need to to get to it.
I like the giant, archer, minions, and goblins!
depends on your TH level, but as a TH9 i farm in gold 1 with 8 giants, 4 hogs, 4 wallbreakers, rest barch. Better with a hero but can be done without easily. Lots of collector raids down here too
Champs league if you can afford to gem your AQ time (or if you can consistently win without her.... tough) - go arch/gogoarch
Master league otherwise - barch/arch

Just to specify, I am a th10 with maxed defenses and maxed troops. Queen is 22 and King > 24. I'd like to keep them upgrading as often as possible. I'd rather not fully gem them, but I'll gem the last 24 to 48 hours if need be, especially for war purposes. I tried to stay up in c1 with gibarch but was hard to hang with no heros, lost too many attacks and fell. Currently in c3 gibarch still. Can I hang in m2 or3 with gibarch and 0 or 1 heros? Should I be pulling my hall in as well?
DE raiding is all I do at the mo. I barch + WBs in Masters. Go for any base with over 1.5k and can get to any storage behind up to two wall layers. The 500+ bonus on top means a minimum of 2k every 20 mins (up to x4 if boosted).
