Definitely a good idea. I'd maybe change the names of some of the achivements so they are funnier sounding or have better alliteration, but other than that, I'd absolutely like to see this idea in the game.
Here's my couple of suggestions:
Master Researcher -> Lab Rat
Clans' Wreaker -> Castle Crusher
I'm all for free gems so why not.
I like the ideas for the research and castle achievements. I'm not a personal fan of having BOTH hero avhievements. It should maybe be for just one hero, like how bigger coffers and war hero are only for gold?
Also, an idea for an achievement: Grave Digger - Remove 1,000/100,000/1,000,000 tombstones(?) But if this is added sc needs to fix the players-with-presents-can't-get-tombstones bug.
Thoughts?
EDIT: Maybe for 10/25/50 gems?
