You can get your badge by losing a raid, so just drop a troop and end the battle and you'll get it. Seasons give a fresh start to everything and also creates competition in the top clans every 2 weeks

I get they might take the badge away so leaders can determine inactive members, but no reason to not get the league bonus.

It would be cool if they gave some gems to the top people in every clan at the end of each season. That would inspire some serious competition...and then maybe limit it to clans of a certain size to keep people from gaming the system. They could increase the value for the top 3 clans to still keep that pressure on as well. But for us, we know we will never be one of the top 3...maybe top 200...
