First of all, I dislike the glow on the c4ds, it's way too strong and would be better with linear dodge instead of colour burn/dodge. Another thing I would do is add some more shadows, don't use lighting effects, but use the edge of a soft white brush with the fill lowered. A rain texture might be cool as well, to emphasize the atmosphere.

The first one was the entry for BSOTW #273
Those motion blurres doesn't help imo.The c4d placement is good,but the overall appearence is meh.

The second one was the entry for TOTW #1 :D
I like the BG and the c4ds used,but they are kinda misplaced.Also,i can't see some adj. layers in it

Have to admit, I prefer the first one by miles.

Alrighty, I'll see if I can find a rain texture.

Eh I'll do the second.

I don't like c4ds, so I'm going to say get rid of those, but that's just me. Anyway, the c4ds don't go with the render for me. And the render's wings is a bit faded in comparison to the rest of the render. But that could also be this terrible computer.

There's no smudge or blur on the render so I'm confused to why you think it's LQ. I did use the wind effect but only ever so slightly. Might be your screen mate because it's a HQ render.

I think this one is awesome. Great job on it man!

I also think that a rain effect over the top would really add to the mood, and setting and tie it together even more. Super cool man!
