Hydra Troop (Recreated)

Hey guys, this is prior to my original post of this idea, I have re designed the troop's stats, ignore my old thread :)

Description: A 7 headed Hydra, powerful and mighty! A stronger version of the dragons. A hydra loves to burn the defenses and turn the village into rubble. With it's furious mighty flames, it is a nuisance to any village!

Troop Concept:

A Level 1 Hydra (sorry if it looks weird, photoshop skills ^.^)

A level 4 Hydra:

The Hydra's max level is 4

Level 1 = 3 heads
Level 2 = 5 heads
Level 3 = 6 heads
Level 4 = 7 heads

Level 3 and 4 gives one extra head, not 3 :)

Troop is a Dark Barrack troop.

Troop Stats:

Things that will remain the same throughout all levels:
Training Time: 40m
Housing Space 40
Attack speed: 2s
Movement speed: 20s

Things that will change:

Level 1:
Damage: 250
Hitpoints: 2500
Training Cost: 440
Range: 5 tiles
Area Splash 0.5 tiles (Ground & Air)

Level 2:
Damage: 300
Hitpoints: 3000
Training Cost: 480
Range: 6 tiles
Area splash: 0.6 (Ground & Air)

Level 3:
Damage: 350
Hitpoints: 3500
Training Cost: 520
Area splash: 0.7 (ground & air)

Level 4:
Damage: 400
Hitpoints: 4000
Training Cost: 560
Area splash: 0.8 (ground & air)

Research Costs & Other:

Upgrade to level 2 > 40,000 Dark Elixr (Laboratory level required: 7)
Upgrade to level 3 > 60,000 Dark Elixr (Laboratory level required: 8)
Upgrade to level 4 > 80,000 Dark Elixr (Laboratory level required: 8)

Dark Barrack Level - 7

Death damage radius:

Level 1 > 1 tiles
Level 2 > 2 tiles
Level 3 > 2.5 tiles
Level 4 > 3 tiles

When the Hydra dies, the damage it does, is half its damage.

Looks great! Only thing I don't like is that it becomes slower with upgrades. First of all, no other troop changes its speed when upgraded, this one (imo) shouldn't be any different in that respect. For another thing, I don't think it's fair to make any aspect of the troop worse when you're paying DE to upgrade and more DE to train it. So if the movement speed just stayed consistent throughout all levels, I think this would be a great addition to the game!

One thing you said in the thread is that it is unlocked a barracks level 5 which isn't possible as the witch is unlocked at level 5 the hydra would have to be unlocked at level 7 and should probably only be available for town hall 10.

Sounds reasonable I guess...
I'll edit it.

I made it so, Dark Barrack level 6 required, so TH9+ have these troops.

It needs to be DB lvl 7. Can't unlock two troops with one DB lvl. And I'd make it TH10, since TH7-9 already has 2 DB lvls.

Db 7 th9 is fine since db8-10 gonna be for th10

I've gone with your suggestion, since it will balance the troops for the TH's out.

Looks great!!!

I have to agree that I'm not a big fan of movement speed changing at different lvls, but really like.
Overall think this is a good idea and very well done.

Also remove the reduce speed for higher level, higher level troops should always be better.

Because the more heads, the more time they need to all attack.. well if it's such a big problem, I can change it, which I think it is, so okay I wll change it.

Also, I don't think there is need for a poll, as SuperCell discusses troop ideas internally if they're good enough :p

Looks good but it needs a special ability. Like hogs witches valkiries. Or is it that every head attack?

Picture Perfect!

Found it on coc fb page and it was the first idea I thought was genuine and can be incorporated.
Its cool stats are balanced by the fact that it can't be donated.
It should be able to attack both air and ground.
And level should be 5 with one head with each level but the maximum stats should be the same.
Only my opinions by the way! I am be terribly wrong :)

Thanks, the one they posted on their fb page is the first prototype I would say, it was just for showcase purposing (the stats) but this one I spent time on it, thanks for your feedback! :)

Not trying to help repeating the special ability request, but what if each couple of heads had a special element? As in you could set the element before the battle to, say, fire, acid, or electricity?

I was thinking about the special ability, and was thinking maybe their special ability could be they attack with more damage but it wont be major upgrade just a lil bit
