How can half of the people say that "it's a privacy problem" and the other half say "you don't need it cause you can already figure it out". If people can figure it out, why is isn't it a privacy problem now? If it isn't a privacy problem, then why not implement a simple way to let people know. I got in this "discussion" earlier, and there are NO good reasons why this shouldn't be implemented. Every example is one of either a terribly run clan and it causing turmoil, or of trolls within clans demanding things because someone is online, or people trying to dodge clan rules (that they chose to be in, and chose to stay in) but not wanting them to know they are online.
To the OP, because you can guess something based on evidence is absolutely not a reason to not make it easier. I can tell about what time it is based on the sun, does that mean clocks and watches shouldn't have been invented? This is such a stupid argument, it's implementation will change NOTHING in the game, ♥♥♥♥ty clans will still be ♥♥♥♥ty, ♥♥♥♥ty leaders will still be ♥♥♥♥ty, ♥♥♥♥ty clan members will still be ♥♥♥♥ty, all with or without the change. Good clans can benefit from it to type something to someone when they are on, give suggestions request specific war troops to start cooking etc.
