what would night do?
For example in night, the attacks might be harder to do,cause the troops won't see,or the archer towers will need a few seconds to wake up and attack..
You haven't looked at the already made threads talking about this exact same idea, have you?
I even pointed some of them out for you too :( Actually, it was a forum feature that pointed them out, which I copied, and still got ignored.
Well thanks if you can support this idea.
I think for the night time, it can be added by lamps from the square field and the rocks beside the beach, so the village keeps bright.
No night creatures and whatever else. Just a night. Everything goes usual like in the daytime. Only adding some bright things, such like lamps, torches, etc so the village keeps bright.
A few things to note:
1) Not everyone in the world lives in the same timezone.
2) If not balanced correctly, players might raid night villages majority of the time. (statistically, players from western hemisphere raid the players from the eastern part while they are sleeping)
3) Hence, a village's night/day time should only be determine by the person viewing the village (This should be only graphical change).
a few possible night effects
lessend range of turrets (save mortars anti-range)
increased production of dark elixir or dark barracks
boost to one or two stats of dark troops
This would take a bit of programming to do, as it would change based on server time, and in the US most if not all states have daylight savings time, so supercell would probably need to change it around a lot for Americans, but do minor changes for other countries, since in some regions like southern Europe it seems as if it gets dark at about 6-8 pm all year, whereas in the US, especially if you're close to another time zone like me, it gets pitch black outside at 5:30 pm on the first of winter (so they may program it to get dark around 6 pm), and it barely gets dark around 10 pm on the first day of summer (or they could program it to be around 9 when its night on the game).
To be honest I want this feature, but if they put it in the game, and set the time to... let's say 6:30 pm when it gets dark and they never changed it. A bit fitting in the winter, just a few minutes behind. But in the summer it wouldn't fit as much. Most regions in america are still seeing the sun midway in the sky at 6:30 pm in the summer.
Also, to add to supercell's programming with this, they would have to program it for almost every timezone in the world if not all.
I've played a lot of mmorpgs. The ones with fun attributes like graphic change, as was done for the Christmas update, changes up the interaction of the game. It let's the player have a different view and emersion into the game, and also breaks up the monotony of looking at the same thing all the time, which promotes a stagnation and less play. Little things like changing to night that matches your time zone adds a more real perception from the player point of view, which adds to a deeper addiction to play.
Just look at world of war craft, which I played for over 8 years. From a true gamers point of view, these kind of changes enhance the games, and makes us want to be more apart of the game and play more. A key to success is to look at someone who is already successful like Warcraft. You see what they do that makes them so successful, and then you implement what they do in away that fits your position. Once you get all you can from them, find one even more successful and see what they do, and you grow, and keep growing.
Add it please!
