WHY barbs and dragons?

As a player that has decided to never use boosts (there is just a greater degree of satisfaction in knowing I got to where I am the hard way) this is literally the only event they have ever had that directly helped me. So, yes, I am throwing a party. It is very nice to have an event that actually does something positive for me for a change.

And the reality is, it benefits all people that use barbs if they would only take a moment to plan how to use their barracks with the new build time instead of trying to make their armies the same way they used to.

If you don't use barbs or dragons I understand that this event does not help you, but I never complained when they doubled the speed and halved the cost of wizards even though I never use them. Not every event has to be for you.

I can't deny that I am super tempted to try it. I have started going with 126 barbs, 86 archers, (and 4 wallbreakers that I try not to use), but I am in crystal 2 and I don't want to drop below 2100 trophies at the lowest so have not tried all barbs yet because I don't think I would be able to maintain trophies if I did. I would love to do it though since it would make for non-stop raiding (which is something I have never been able to do before since I never boost anything).

Still, using this army comp instead of the roughly half barbs, half archers that I used to use has resulted in an army cook time that is about half what I am used to so it makes for much faster raiding (which is nice). All the people that are saying this update doesn't shave much time off their barch build time is apparently playing a very different game than I am.

That is an event I am truly dreading. I have never kept a builder free for walls before (it just pains me too much to see a builder being idle most of the day and so I just try to time my upgrades so I get one builder free each day and just buy some walls before starting the next upgrade), but if they give a 5x boost to just balloons and one other rarely used troop, I will expect to see tons of balloon raids and may finally keep a builder free for walls for the first time ever just so I can always log out with little to no loot.

I don't mind them boosting troops that are good for getting 50% raids (which is what barbs and dragons are good for against a TH9 base like mine), but when they give a super boost to troops that are good at 3-starring bases, that will be a miserable time indeed.

Yeah I put this in the weird category.. Maybe it's the universe playing tricks with me. I was just about to start upgrading all my AD.. Push the pause button on that. The wizard boost was awesome, this one...meh

Man do I hope so. There is literally no change they could make to the game that would make me more pleased than a permanent reduction in the build time of either barbarians, archers, or both. There are many other upgrades I would like (e.g. higher league bonus, more loot per hour from collectors, shorter regeneration time for heroes), but nothing would actually make the game more fun than a change that reduces the amount of time I spend not playing the game because I am waiting for my army to build.

I already use the fastest building army (other than BAM because all my DE goes to heroes and lab work right now) because I don't like sitting around not playing the game while an army builds. Making it even faster is the best change there could be.

SC wants everyone to use the new attack strat.....Bargons! :rolleyes:

Not me for me, BUT for someone I came across last night. TH8 with ALL 3 ADs down for upgrading. I hit him with 28 loons and 3 drags (using drags instead of minis since I am farming for D.E. and Drags are quick now). Not sure why you would EVER have all of ANYTHING down at the same time. And with this update he is gonna just keep paying and paying. My guess, he'll ride the shields. I would but I would never have all of something upgrading at once either.
