Direct Messaging
I would like to propose the addition of a Direct Messaging feature, allowing private messages from one user to another. I have seen this in several other games in which players are somewhat separated into groups (clans, safehouses, tribes, etc), and it allows friends in different groups to keep in contact with each other inside of the game.
This would also be beneficial to clans who seek to set up "feeder" or "sister" clans by allowing members to communicate across clans, thereby eliminating the need for hopping from one to the other. It would also allow clan leaders to discuss membership issues without allowing other members to see and possibly causing strife.
Probably the two easiest implementations of this that I have seen are allowing usernames to be typed into chat, followed by a specific punctuation mark and then the message (e.g.- PsychoDM71: hello), as well as an icon or button appearing when the user is selected within chat that initiates the message by pre-entering this into the chat box.
The ability to search specific players might also be helpful with this.
Thanks for the consideration!

I hope this get's implemented, it would be awesome to be able to chat with people in your clan/outside of your clan separately :)

This has already been brought up. Thank you for your time but PM in game has been suggested many times before.

Although I agree that direct messaging (aka PM(personal messaging)) will be very convenient and will solve lots of troubles, it can also be misused. Players could send insulting messages to people that attacked them, or to the other clan in a clan war. This could also cause spam, which is why SuperCell isn't putting this in the game.
