Temporary Ban how to contact services?

There is not much you can prove with screenshot, there is no way to prove that it was not you or another co-leader who changed the description.

Your screenshots may allow you to report that guy and have him baned (which he deserves) but that's nothing better for you and your clan.

I like you and I hope you don't take offense, but that is such a garbage response.

Banning the entire clan leadership, without warning, mind you, for the actions of one is akin to using a machine gun in a crowded house to kill a fly. Sure, anybody in the crowd could have swatted the fly, had they seen it, but instead of punishing the person that left the door open and let the fly in or, at the very least, warning the crowded house of the presence of the fly and the impending machine gun fire if the fly is not taken care of, let's just unleash that machine gun and take care of the entire house.

The decisions of leadership effect everyone, good or bad. That's the nature of leadership. Poor leadership led to promoting someone that didn't need to be promoted, that led to a ban. It makes sense. How is SC supposed to punish just one person? I mean specifically. What tools do they have at their disposal to isolate the one person that promoted the troll? I agree it was harsh but it makes sense. The leadership of this clan just learned a very valuable lesson.

For a company that is making so much money off this game, I don't understand how they can't implement logging that will capture who made the changes and when. It's a big disservice to their users, especially the ones paying to buy gems, and then get banned because someone else acted inappropriately.

Obviously, not one member of this forum has promoted someone they shouldn't, maybe in their noobier days.

Never accepted a single join request, imagining a perfect fit for the clan, rather than the troop tourist that they were.

No-one in any forum members clan has ever set description as something innapropriate, Trusted or otherwise.

I will admit ive not promoted people too early, even lost good members because of refusal to promote. They probably more than deserved it, but it was a case of fairness in the long timescales of a long running clan.

But, well trusted early middle aged men are perfectly capable of writing obscene things in description.
It is/was rather fortunate that i was online immediately after, and knew about SCs ban happiness in the name of decency from forums.

And this kind of thinking is what is proving my point. Why would you ban the person that promoted the jerk??? Wouldn't it make FAR more sense to ban the jerk in question? Really, the only 'lesson' they learned is, 'Don't promote anyone'.

Exactly right!!

Supercell is worth an estimated 3 Billion dollars! Yeah, billion with a big fat B.

Wikipedia, who runs off of donations, manages to archive every single change to each and every article in every language they host. It logs the date, time, previous content and who made the change.

So, a 3 billion dollar company is unable or incapable of doing the same?

I disagree. The person who promoted the troll got banned as well it sounds like. That will teach them not to blindly promote people. If a clan has poor leaders the people remaining in the clan promote the poor leadership by staying in it. A leader made a really bad decision here. How does no one see that? A lesson was learned here. Make a bad decision as a leader and it can effect everyone in the clan. I'll bet they know that now and won't make the same mistake. Bad decisions have consequences people, sheesh. Sometimes you just buck up and accept you made a mistake and learn from it.

The thing to keep in mind is that the 2 day ban you likely received is your warning. If it happens again it will likely be a 7 day ban and then permanent.

While I think Supercell could (and probably should) implement a way to see who changed the clan description they have instead decided to make people equally responsible for things they are able to change. This is how they have decided to do that and once they have given you your warning (2 day ban) I'm sure you will be much more selective with the people you promote to co-leader.
