Why does it take so long for an update these days?

Every year at about this time we get threads like this, wondering why the update is taking so long.
Two words: Christmas holidays.

Last year there were 55 days between updates before and after the holidays (nearly 8 weeks)

So this is nothing unusual, just be patient and the update will be here when it's ready and approved.

But yes, last year they updated more often than they have recently

I hope for only one feature.
New feature to do more than one research in LAB in the same time. For example 2 researches is good.

It will not affect the elixir economy because researches are not instant like walls.
Researches are very time consuming and builder-needs upgrades will be completed long before researches.
