I say this because this attack is so prevalent it doesn't matter if you have 3 max ad or not, if your below th 9 your lucky to defend anything less than a 2 star. This is the most prevalent attack because it takes next to no strategy. I'm suggesting this because dragons have such high hp this bomb doesn't do a whole lot to them, with this modifier, they would actually have to be worried about traps.
And that's why we have the seeking air mines. If air bombs could do triple damage to dragons, it would be too overpowered, since the dragon could take a lot of damage from just traps.

No I am th 8 and if you look at the stats Ill be stuck here for about a year and a half if upgrade everything. When 99% of people at these levels are just using this ONE sole attack it clearly is overpowered and some sort of change is necessary.
Then use the same tactic back then if you are TH8, your dragons can be level 3 aswell, alternatively go to youtube search town hall 8 or th 8 anti dragon base plenty of examples.Quote:

If you are TH8 and you say you have max AD then something is really wrong with your defenses if you are getting killed with dragon attacks. If every one is leveling your base that doesn't sound right already and if all you get are dragon attacks then I am guessing you have some vulnerability that attackers are spotting that they choose to use dragons on you. I'm more or less max th8, just a few walls left to upgrade. I haven't been 3 starred by all drags for a long time! A lot of the time I only get 1 starred as they can't get to my th.
I haven't been 3 starred by a th8 or mid th9 for a while now. Max th9 and th10s however are a different story but you don't see me shouting and crying about being attacked by th10s.

But triple damage is way too much. Right now, a TH7 gets 2 level 3 air bombs, good for 144 damage each. That's 288 damage to several dragons if placed correctly. Barely a scratch, even against level 1 dragons.
Triple damage means that you'd knock those dragons down by 864 health, out of 1900. Sure, they'd still have over 1000 left, but now a well-designed TH7 might be able to stop a raid by level 1 dragons. Not sure about level 2 dragons. Personally, I think a well-designed TH7 should have at least a chance of stopping level 1 dragons. I'm fine with the level 2 dragons leveling a TH7. So maybe this would work for TH7.
But it just gets way OP at TH8. Now you have 4 level 3 air bombs, enough to dish out 1728 damage if a group of dragons is hit by all 4. That reduces their hit points enough for a single archer tower to bring them down in a few seconds, at least for level 1 dragons. Level 3 might survive a bit longer, but even crappy aerial defenses (all sub-max) would be able to easily prevent a 3-star, probably prevent a 2-star if designed well. That's too much of a swing in power.
I could see maybe 1.5x damage, like the GB against hogs. But even 2x damage seems slightly OP.
I think a far better way to balance dragons is to reduce the stats at level 1, buff them at level 4, and make slight tweaks at level 2 and 3. See for example these two posts:

Whats with people trying to "nerf" drags they arent OverPowered (Th7 is the only place where they really shine) this would just straight up destroy dragon usage in Clash, Seeking Air Mines already can take most of a drags health.
I think level 1 dragons are way overpowered at TH7. I've yet to lose against a TH7, even with maxed AD's protected by storages, with good coverage from other aerial defenses. And my troop cap was 195, so I was only sending in 9 of them (and 7 minions for cleanup). Every time, I was worried I might not even get 2 stars, and every time I was just blown away that I still had 5-6 dragons left at the end of the raid. I only dropped the King for cleanup, usually to clean up poorly defended structures that I didn't want the dragons to get distracted by.Quote:

I rarely even have to use spells. I have the option of 3 lightnings to take out an AD, or some combination of heal/rage. I usually bring 3 rage, rarely have needed to use 2, let alone all 3.
I can't speak from experience, but the consensus I seem to be getting is that it's easy to get 3 stars in TH8 vs TH8, but only because the defender isn't set up properly. A maxed TH8 with a good layout should be able to prevent 3 stars from a mass level 3 dragon raid. So they're not OP at TH8.
And I've heard plenty of people bemoan the fact that dragons just aren't used much at TH9, and even less so at TH10.
Seems to me that dragons at level 1 need a nerf, and maybe a small nerf at level 2. Maybe. Level 3 should be unchanged, if not slightly buffed. And level 4 needs a buff, and/or add a level 5.
id probably consider being on your side if you would've said seeking air mines do 1.5 more damage to drags...but air bombs? splash damage? nah
