Just increase the capacity of storages... 4 maxed storages should hold 10,000,000 instead of 8,000,000.
That way big TH11 upgrades can cost more without cheapening everything lower in the game. Although if upgrades will cost 10mil then there probably does need to be another source of income...
1. Mines, Collectors, Drills
2. Raiding
3. Loot Bonus (kinda sits with raiding)
4. Wars (hardcore farmers wouldn't consider this a decent source of income)
5. ??? the addition of quests could pump some more, much needed recourses into the game, especially if TH11 is coming
Slightly lowering the cost of upgrades in TH10, plus slight increase in max storage level, will be both required. The current economy is broken for TH10, and what will TH11 feed on? Other TH11?
Perhaps SC should follow Eve Online and hire a macro economist to balance things up and manage the economy.
Lowering the cost of upgrades will of course devalue the value of those things people farmed for previously. But supercell have already done that. Maxing BK at TH7 used to be so hard without the pump, now almost everyone have a BK 6+ at TH7.
Increasing the storage capacity cannot be done without also lowering upgrade costs due to the rapid progression of upgrade prices. This is where a new resource might come in handy. Make a little easier to find than DE but not as much as gold or elixir. And another way to gain more resources is to add more single players maps featuring new buildings like the X-Bow and the inferno tower.
Honestly im so close to max th10 now id be ready for th11 when it came
The problem I see is that TH10 was really designed to be a HUGE timesink, as the end game TH. TH10, for even a busy clasher, takes forever to max. Unless you are very hardcore, it will take you years to max.
TH10 has a hard enough time getting loot, but the good thing is they can hold onto it easier, because they have no TH above them. If there is a TH11, TH10 is in big trouble, because now they are prey again.
I just can't see anyway that a TH11 can be introduced without doing some big changes to TH10 and probably some TH9 changes. Build times and costs would need to be reduced, collectors would need a few more levels, even higher bonuses for leagues etc.. I just really think that Supercell designed TH10 to be the end game and changing that would take a lot of thought about how to balance it out again.
TH10 can prey on TH9 because TH9 has no inferno.
TH11 won't be able to easily prey on TH10 because 20 more troops or another troop level won't just mean they can waltz through max inferno.
Also (take this with a grain of salt), someone I know has a "source" at SC and he said they aren't going to put TH11 out until the summer. Again, just something I heard from a source of a mate.
Introduce a 5th Storage for both Gold and Elixir (10 million of each), a new defence building that uses DE, another upgrade for the DE pumps and also army camps (260 troops capacity) and of course a third hero.
That's all you need for TH11

TH11 will need a huge attack advantage to take on a max TH10. Because let's admit it, a TH11 should be able to beat a TH10. 20 more troops won't change a thing.
I can see a new def structures.
I can see a new resource only for TH11.
I can see a new barrack/troop with the new resource.
I can see the game being fun again :)
