Town hall 9 kills the game

well that is where gold mines,elixir collecters and your brain comes in!
in this game you are meant to balance everything out like when you have town hall 1 you max everything before going to town Hall 2 and so on.not upgrade your town hall to max and make everything more harder for yourself unless you have max elixer collectors and fold mines it would be fine!
heres how you get out of this situation..
1.get more trothies like over 1000 and try to upgrade your troops,camps and barracks as much as possible
2. Upgrade your gold and elixir mines!

Giving this game a 1 star rating coz of your experience is a real disservice. It is common sense in a strategy game to upgrade most things to the highest possible level before upgrading your main center (TH). Heck, it is common sense in real life too...would you guard your nuclear reactors with stone towers and an army of stone throwers??

From a different perspective whereas I have the majority of defence and attack upgrades done I would think a 1 star rating is possibly 1 star too many. Being forced to lose trophies so that I can go and slaughter lower levels with only inexpensive troops makes for a topsy turvy game. But it's that or sit around doing nothing. 320k+ elixir spend on a decent army that stands a chance against decent defence is impossible to make back. I enjoy attacking a lot on a weekend, artificially lowering my trophy count is the only way of achieving this now. I would turn back my TH to level 8 if I could, but I'd also want my money back for being forced to do so.

TH9 killed the game for those who refuse to buy gems. For those who are willing and can afford to buy a ♥♥♥♥ load more gems, TH9 is the best thing since slice bread, well for supercell that is.

As for me, I'm still at TH6 maxing out everything. I think I'll stop playing at a maxed out TH7 and move onto something else.

I rarely buy gems and trying to get to the top of the leader boards. I'm also currently upgrading to TH 7. Should I even try to get to the top and go TH 9 or no? Is it even worth it?

u can upgrade but forget about top places with low spending ... the game is designed to eat up thousands of dollars from those who target a top spot . this has nothing to do with "equal chances for all"

Warning people against upgrading their TH to level 9 is the exact opposite thing your going to be wanting to do if you want to fix the problem of their not being enough players and/or loot at your current level. The much better option would be encouraging players to work hard for their level 9 TH so that the playing field can become a bit more evened out. The reason the top players with level 9 TH's are doing so well is because they have less targets because others are constantly whining about not being able to find enough loot which means those higher trophy players are getting matched up with players they wouldn't normally be paired up with otherwise. If you are causing people to stop upgrading their TH and to stay at their current level your only doing harm to yourself and the whole community.

Unless I am wrong I'm pretty sure you can only attack either 1 or 2 TH levels below you and it is more common to be paired up with players your TH level. I could be wrong but if I was wrong then what problem would leveling up your TH cause?

I've had TH9 for over a week now, and I'm seeing little difference between my loot now and at TH 8. It's really not "the death of the game". Only difference is that loot from TH7 and 6 is nerfed a bit. So what? It's hardly noticeable.
