Can clan members who left a clan attack clan members from their old clan

Okay so something caught my curiousity.
If someone joined a clan, and left it.

Would the game searches have a possibility of pairing that person to attack members of their old clan?

Or would it be treated like current clan members were the game wouldn't have a possibility of pairing them against them?

I know there are a million ayers you could be matched against for a raid but,if by some random chance, would the game pair you against a member of a past clan or is it treated like current clan members where you won't be paired against them?

Just a curios question.

Yes the potential is there as long as you are not a current member of their clan. Chances are unless you are sub200 or higher than 3600 then you won't find them

not only is this possible but it's an often used exploit (che@t) of many of the players at the top of the global leaderboard.

Yes, that is possible. I once searched an ex-clanmate in matchmaking. I did not attack though.

Yes. I have seen friend attack a mutual ex clan mate – he sent me kik pics and then he sent me more kik pics when that ex clan mate tried to revenge him. Ex clan mate went in unarmed... wasted
We both laughed, he was not a very good clan mate anyways – he got me booted from the clan:(
