I'd normally be raiding now, but the dead zone is particularly bad today.
I've been playing for a little over a year and there is one thing I've noticed consistently about looting time frames.
About 1-5 pm, Eastern USA (GMT-5), loot is terrible regardless of trophies range.
Luckily for me, around 8pm - midnight, when I can play most, is always good, regardless of trophy range.
Just wondering if anyone has noticed something similar about these two time frames.
Loot is better for me around 11pm in the UK..... currently GMT. I also get a bit of luck in the mornings. Had a great time yesterday all morning. Sadly, despite having a day off I did little clashing.Quote:

Makes a lot of sense. I only play at night when I get home from work. So I would break my shield and would play till about 9-10pm. Then I log out and usually get attacked right away and get a 12 hour shield. Next morning around 9-10am my shield has run out and I get attacked again for another 12 hours shield, so I am under shield almost everyday in the afternoon till I get home and break it when ready to play.
I think most of the US players are like that, or at least the ones with jobs :).
I don't know about dead zones but, today is very very bad. I've been nexting all morning...so terrible.

Same here on a work day. I'll sometimes raid once while I'm eating lunch with a big army that I cooked under shield, then just take a shield until its time to play again after 8pm.Quote:

I'm aware of the swarm of Chinese 'automated looting' programs that run.
Assuming the players over there would run the program from midnight to 6am, that lines up with 11am - 5pm in my time zone, when the loot is terrible.
Something to think about because it is VERY hard to find any collector fat bases during the dead time frame.
