When is the right time to go to TH10

When do you recommend going to TH10? As a player with everything max but heroes, valks and walls, I was thinking level 20 heroes and all legos, but im not sure. I've seen some pretty bad horror stories of terrible loot as a TH10.

Most peoples instant answer is "Always max" and for th8 and below, I agree. BUT, are lavas/finishing legos worth the time and gold? Or is it better to skip em and get the new TH10 buildings. Im averaging 5/6 legos a day with casual playing.

I know about the loot penalty, and since i usually farm in Gold or C3, Im kind of unsure where to farm as a TH10

In my opinion, once you have maxed all your defenses it's time to go.

I cannot handle having at least 3 of the builders I paid money for having an extended sleep.

There's really no rush for the next town hall. Probably the most exciting this would be more troop levels. Sure you get infernos which are cool but then people just freeze them. I say get atleast 75% maxed, anywhere beyond that you can go to th10

There are four levels of play for the game:

easy: max defenses.
normal: max lego walls and defenses
difficult: max lava walls and defenses.
hard: max heros, walls and everything else.

It depends on what level the player you are.

I would max the lava walls then go forward.

When you have 1/2 or full lavas

If you war, max your heroes. If you are a boring farmer, then whenever, as it makes no difference.

People may freeze them, that doesn't make them not worth it. That means precious spell spots are being used up. They are easily the single biggest difference maker on defense in the game. With a smart base design you essentially are immune to being farmed with infernos on multi.

I recommend the legos, it will cut about half of the possible raiders in your base.

Also, the loot is not that terrible.
The ones that claim that the loot is terrible are only the bad "farmers."

Stay in M3 when you have your ITs & Legos/Maxed TH9 defenses and farm there.

When the look of lava walls makes you sick to your stomache, for me that was after about 110 of them.

Yes for the heroes and wall, no for the horror stories about the loot.
