DE Storage Idea/Frustrated With Saving Up Dark Elixir

I do bring my trophy up to 1600+ when Im raiding and I still get lightnings

of course! it is not a lightning proof strategy but you will get lightninged by players who you could get equal number of loot when you revenge back. There will still be th7 there but not as much.

1500-1600 and still lost 8K Dark Elixir to Lightning Spells.

Game makes me wanna shoot someone at times.

I saved up to 60K DE for golem L2 upgrade with only getting my DE zapped a few times. At TH8+ the DE accumulates without even trying, so when I got up to about 30K, I decided to focus on DE and from there it only took a few days (that's without zapping anyone elses DE). I've posted this elsewhere but a few suggestions to minimize the damage from lightning on DE:

1- leave your TH completely exposed. Maybe even leave a gold storage or 2 out next to the TH to bait a farmer. If you're lucky a trophy hunter will destroy your TH and maybe not even notice that you have a lot of DE. This way you will be shielded before you get zapped. Even if you get zapped, most people hunting for DE do not want their trophy counts to drop because high trophy counts is where the DE is. So if they zap you they will likely take your TH too. This will protect your from multiple consecutive zaps.

2- keep your trophy count high. I kept mine at about 1700 at TH8. TH7's are the ones who mainly do this and there aren't many TH7's at 1700+. Although no trophy count will eliminate this, this will minimize it.

3- upgrade your DE storage to the max for your TH level. Not for the extra capacity but for the extra HP. More experienced zappers will know that a higher DE storage means their spells are less effective.

Edit:

4- one more thing, don't attack any TH7's while you're saving up for DE. They are the most DE hungry and attacking them means you're leaving a revenge button for them.

Good luck saving up for your AQ L2.

I agree with everything you said

Suck it up ive been saving up for barb king for two months you think a couple weeks is bad...

I am floating around 1800-1900 and is a great place for barching with minimal zappers. The boost of mines, pumps, and drills makes it super easy to raid as well.

You should be glad to be zapped. Higher town hall can easily 3 star you and take all your loot. Better zapped than all of your de is stolen.
