I was talking about the time/gold expense. IMO spending time on level 3 xbows is a waste at this point. I farmed 5 mill last night in 2 1/2 hours, so it's not really an issue for me either. just my two cents on it though. Also, you will be drawing much stronger opponents in CW (with lvl3 xbows) just a lil fyi :) Good luck bro!Quote:

How does your base look now? Im trying to find a good th9 design for my transition. I have yet to build the two xbows. Was under the impression that it'd be good to upgrade the new point defences instead and building xbows. You thoughts?
Good one mate. I like your upgrade progression. I myself stopped all upgrades, and farmed up legos, before i started anything else again ( AQ was obviously on constant upgrade, and she still is), but I think you are going a very balanced way to th9. I would suggest farming legos after you get the defenses to th8 level.
I would build the Xbows first before anything else once you hit TH9, they're your biggest defensive upgrade. Then AQ right after you've built both.Quote:

Thanks! I haven't really had a chance to modify The Nerd to TH9-worthy, but I did take the basic principles with me while designing a few new designs -- such as: centered and focus tesla damage around DE, WT splash on 2 primary storages, and highly segmented storages. Since I'm still modifying my designs I'm not making them public just yet. I've had a decent amount of success on one of my bases while having both xbows constantly upgrading so in another 18 days (when both are level 3) I'll be able to have more accurate logs which will in turn allow better tweaks and, hopefully, a better base design!Quote:

- Gem finished a few days on my loons, I had a 3.5k DE revenge that just begged me to do it!

- AQ is chilling at 5 and BK at 10, I feel like I need to start leveling them up ASAP
- Loonion is so much more fun than barch, trying to find a reasonable way of boosting that's not overly expensive -- if I can't do that I'll probably just loonion twice a day as I break my shield

- Loonion has gotten me ~40k DE sporadically playing in the past 3 days
- I have 3 things coming free tomorrow, yikes. Don't want to keep them idle :mad:
- Farmed maybe 9-9.5m and 8k DE boosting two racks for loonion for the first hour, bam for the second
- Next 3 upgrades: xbow to 3, DE storage to 5, AQ to 6 -- then I will dedicate two builders to get both DE drills to 6.

This is a cool thread man, its cool to compare someone like you who maxed TH 8, to someone who basically skipped Th8 like me. You're progressing super fast its awesome. I had a question, whats the reasoning behind getting xbows up to level 3? as opposed to say Wizard towers?Quote:
