Here is my thinking in deciding to move up, I've AQ lvl 10, BK 11, lvl 6 Gibarch, max balloons and healer, max hogs. Only lvl1 golem up that is next to go into lab in 2 days.

Right now I can storage raid TH9's with mid lvl heroes and max defenses. I am focused on DE so with the extra DE drill and infernos I should be able to keep my DE from TH9's as a TH10 so really I only have to defend against TH10's and lets be honest right know as a Th9 even if I was maxed defensively I'm going to get crushed my TH10's and most mid Th9's, so If I move up while I will be crushed for a few weeks on defense until I've got IT, that will happen anyway if I choose to wait until I'm maxed or not.

First thing to make sure, farmer or warrior? You can stay in Gold leagues, TH10s aren't usually bothered there even without infernos. Even if you're a farmer, make sure to focus on heroes right now, I recommend at least 15/15 for the beginning. After getting infernos lvl2 (don't need to bother lvl 3 for a while) and lvl 7 barch, you can move up to M3 and enjoy fantastic loot, keeping both heroes down until they're 25 or so
