Bracket based tournaments

I have a suggestion that I believe many players would find very helpful/beneficial. If someone could please take this up to the appropriate authorities, I think it would make for a very happy fan base!


Ok, so we all know that there is a tournament each week for the top clans to contend for winnings. Unfortunately for the vast majority of players, they cannot afford to gem their base up to compete at this level. So in light of this, without digging in to Supercell's pockets on the normal gem purchases; would ya'll consider doing bracket based tournaments with increased pot amounts for each bracket.


For instance:


Bronze III - 5 gems
Bronze II - 10 gems
Bronze I - 15 gems


Silver III - 20gems
Silver II - 40 gems
Silver I - 60 gems


Gold III - 75 gems
Gold II - 100 gems
Gold I - 125 gems


And so on... I have spoken with many of my peers throughout the game and this seems to be a very reasonable idea to implement. And it would give a certain "moral" boost with something for people of lower income levels some incentive to compete and Clash harder!!!

So are you asking for Clan War Tournaments?

And how do you base it on leagues if any given clan can have a mix of leagues, from Bronze to Champions?

And what's stopping a clan of all maxed TH10 dropping trophies in order to participate in the Bronze tournaments?

How do you maintain balance? Some clans take hours to find ONE suitable matchup and most of the time, that matchup is terrible. How will the game be able to find upwards of 4-10 clans that matchup enough to have a balanced tournament?

There are many different ways it could be balanced. It could be level based, or TH based as well, not just league dependent. Any number of things could be imposed to ensure semi equal match ups. All it takes is a little bit of script writting.

And no, this would be on an individual basis. No clan involvement, they already have clan wars to cover that end.

And again, this is just a suggestion. No whinning or begging for unrealistic changes.

Ok, I see, so a bracket tournament by individuals.

Definitely can't be level or TH based. It would have to use the same rating system that Clan Wars uses to rate individual bases.

Otherwise, you'll get mismatched because you're a heavy donator or a rusher.

Ok, well of course I welcome any feedback and input to help further the idea. I really think it would be a great thing to implement.

Honestly it could even possibly generate more revenue, by bringing back old/new players for the incentive.
