Correct. And you even forget to mention that, without the revenge, the revenger number would be:
Gold = - 225k
Elixer = - 82k
DE = - 615.

From that to those number above, I still believe it's a good attack. He "get" some gold, yes, he actually did, loose a little more Elixer, but well, as the OP said, Eli doesn't matter, and gain quite a bit DE (1k5 DE), I think it's a win :)

And yes, the sweet feeling of revenge.

In other hand, OP should be mad. You come from:
Gold = 225
Elixer = -33k
DE = 615

To the number above (only gain 152k gold, lost 232k Eli and lost 1k2 DE- which is quite a bit for a TH8)

My thoughts exactly....as much as you didnt care about your elixir, he may not have cared about his resources entirely and wanted the cups;) I say thats one hell of a revenge period....especially when they arent easy to come by.

I find it funny that you tried to shame someone one and ridicule them for what YOU thought to be a silly raid and most here turned the tables and applauded the revenger😜

Nice revenge there. I'll revenge anyone for anything at any time. It makes no difference to me how much an army costs - I've already built it and plan to use it. The only thing that matters to me is having fun and taking loot away from anyone who attacks me is fun.

OP made me laugh because you lost. He got the DE.

Revenge was definitely a good attack. Elixir is normally overflowing at th7/8 so doesn't really matter.

Also your math is flawed you can't compare your attack to his attack since that wasn't his choice. His choice was revenge vs no revenge.

Yes he lost 70k elixir but he gained 70k gold and 1.5k DE as a th7. I would take that trade anyday. Good choice spending the elixir for a significant return.

All I saw in the revenge is 100% and 48 trophies

That is my book is a great revenge regardless of army used or loot found.

If he even manages to have a profit on DE at the same time, even better for him.

I would have revenged also, regardless of the cost.

erd mird gurd I love doing that.... especially when it's a th6.... 200BARBS FTW!!!!!!!! also sometimes I drop down to like bronze and revenge a th6 and I wipe them out and I steal like 56 trophies from them,..... sooo much fun.....:rolleyes:

Also on the revenge guys side, you can only take what people have. 900 DE at TH7 is a lot. He also got some trophies, which may have mattered to him.

I do a lot of revenges that may not work out on a resource level, but I get a large emotional payment, especially when some bully from a higher TH attacked me and I got them back.
