Minions will get destroyed seconds after you deploy them because things target them. Archers can stay safely behind barbs or giants while minions draw fire. Especially from air defense.

how many do i use? Well I've tried using lots like 40 but that is way to much. They are alright at spamming but I doesn't give you much army left to steal the loot. When I try 10-20, its isn't enough to do any real damage and it ends up just wasting my army space.

It is a matter of opinion. And you have to admit, it does sound like a lesmog thread. All his threads are along the lines of "barbs suck" "Golems suck" and now you make a thread with the title of minions stink... I am sorry if my comparing you to lesmog makes you mad, and i did it mostly in jest, while you say that i do not know how to play.

I refuse to argue this more because it is a matter of opinion/play style/ the layout and level of bases you attack.

My minions are level 5 -- I spent a ton of dark elixir to get them there. Their uses are so specific it makes them useless and air bombs are too powerful. Think about this for a moment:

1) Giant bomb, can mass kill tons of troops, costs 50000 and takes a 2x2 space that the troop has to "trigger" on it
2) Air bomb, can mass kill tons of minions, costs 4000, takes up 1 spot, and has a huge trigger radius and will move to the target to blow up and the AOE kill effect is larger than giant bombs

Once air bombs cost 50000, then I'll start using minions again

EDIT: I forgot to mention, what is the only defense at level 1 which can 1 shot kill a max level unit? I'll give you a hint: air defense

Do you know how much flack SC would get? Ppl have spent time and money to max there minions and if they removed them soooo many ppl would quit.

I used to use minions all the time and never had a bad raid with them. ushully 20 to 40. less since i been at th 7 a little while now and got a pretty solid raiding team i like to use. i liked them so much i upgraded them to level 2 cause i seem to make pretty good DE usually. just my opinion.

Who says using a swarm of minions at a time was a good idea? See daddys vid and 2 air bombs are destroyed without killing a minion

Minions are pretty good imo. I don't use them a whole lot since they aren't rank 5 yet, but I plan on using them quite a bit once they are finished upgrading.
