early war start option

use a "our clan is ready button"

what if there was an "our clan is ready for war" button somewhere in the war prep screen. when a clan is set for war, their leader can press it. the other leader can see that the opposing team's clan is set to start war, and can press their button as soon as their clan is ready. when both clans have pressed their button, war day starts immediately. when your clan has pressed the button, then your clan is locked in for early war, cant undo it.

both clans have to agree to cut prep day short, otherwise default is to run out the full 24 hrs.

in this way, clans that need more time to prepare, can use as much of the 24 hrs prep as they need. but clans that dont change around their bases can get right to war.

We war weekly and have a set time. Cutting the prep day short would also mean the war would end at a different time. I for one would use this to your disadvantage. Once you press the ready button I'd wait until the early morning hours (that's if I knew your location/time zone/) and press it when a majority of your players were asleep. In reality though I'd never use it. I'd make them wait.

The time taken off prep day would need to be added to the war for a couple reasons.

One would be that no one is blindsided by the start time. (Even if ready, you press the button and the others then press it 6 hours later while you are away). But if it was just extra war day time they could just attack when they planned anyhow and again with their later attack (that some guys plan for late in the war and also around school/ work) so nothing gets hurt.

Also SC needs it to not have to pay war bonuses to a clan at any rate faster then every 48 hours. Both because that would be a cost increase to them and also it opened the door for an exploit.

But if the time simply got added to war day that addresses all the above problems.

interesting point about sc having to pay out war bonuses up to twice as often. did not consider that. i do see how it could be abused.

still, my clan wars back to back so we would love to do a new war practically every day. with the new layout manager, we can edit our war bases anytime, so we dont do that during prep. also, because war bases can be changed out by opponents at the last minute, we dont actually do war strategy until war day when we know the opposing bases are locked in. so basically all that needs to be done on prep day is fill war ccs, which can usually be done in under an hour.

if we happen to be matched up with a clan that works like ours, it would be great to just get to the war part already.

I used to keep all my accounts in the same clan so they could feed each other. But with CW I have found the benefit in having them in different clans so that I can always have some action going. Its a way to double up your action without needing to make SC do anything.

Also consider that many players time out upgrades to be completed in time for wars. I constantly see posts in our chat of 'Im going to have (insert better troop/spell/hero than before) by next war!'. I jump the gun on starting and I would ruin their plan.

And it might not be the case for your clan but from experience with an international clan; hammering down a good start time has been important to everyone in our clan being able to schedule the time to war after work, school and family obligations. Rushing that war start by several hours would botch it for many players in the same boat.
