So how do you guys feel about censorship on this site and in the game? Do you think Supercell abuses its power, or do you think they're not doing enough? Or is it perfect the way it is?

Thats the great thing about buying consumable electronic good like gems. You are slave to the game now. You pay to be a slave.
Supercell offers free content to the world, we all use it (greedily) but they censor us and put rules in place to steer behaviour in a positive direction... how dare they, the sheer cheek of those rapscallions. Off with their heads!
Ikr! Why don't they just hand us the game so we can finally trade resources and make that minion king that summons millions of Lightning spells on the town hall!

Are you talking about global chat? That is way too over censored.
Everything else is fine though.
I am very confused why I am typing in English and see a bunch of asterisks. I can only assume the language filter/censor searches for Finnish words as a priority or word parts, and it is hard for me to even type many things like "masters league" with it coming out garbled with asterisks, while others use UTF characters to completely bypass the filters with letter like a u with an accent grave to replace a normal u in "firetruck". so many people are unable to communicate in the game, while other just bypass the filter anyway. i find that unproductive.
I don't any language using non-Latin alphabets have any sort of censoring at all. the filter probably needs to apply to specific languages, not as a global so that Finnish words don't get filtered out when in English because they are spelled similar.
I know it is a coding nightmare as I have had to do it before for a mufti-lingual forum but it is just something you have to do and do correctly so it doesn't impede the operations of the communication system.
I'm fine with global chat censoring since I never go there anyways...I mean seriously, people treat it like its a dating website.Quote:

I have been in some gaming communities (that I am not allowed to Name because of Forum rules), but I have never seen someone censoring as much as Supercell. Even with at the forums of bigger Software companies with stricter rules it was always possible to say your opinion on the Forums. At supercell the best way seems to be avoiding Support at all to not get banned for some rules that are not written anywhere.
I think they need less censorship, especially for that beloved Valkyrie ;o)
