Is SC hiding something from us?

As, I was playing around in Coc, when I realized that maybe SC is hiding something from us. I noticed that there is a 2012 xmas tree in a campaign mission- gold rush. Also, the videos confirmed Coc is related to the illuminati (someone had a thread about it). Are these clues or just random things?
I was wondering if you have noticed things that are strange that could lead all of us to a huge discovery about SC and CoC.
