You will find an excellent thread, with some well reasoned and logical posts on why rushing could be the way forward, especially for a more active player.
No way, going to th 9 is a bad idea. You have tons of level 6 walls, almost none of your defences are maxed, you haven't even unlocked pekkas or golems. If I looked at your base alone, I'd say you were very new to th8. I haven't even mentioned the loot penalty.... Good luck with whatever you do, I strongly suggest you stay at th8.
You should absolutely rush to th9 but not quite yet. Get a large number of skull walls, at least 150. Also barbarians, archers, giants, loons to level 5. Then you can rush.
Do it! I rushed to th9 and base looks alot like yours when I did now im 1 WT away from a max th9 building wise. Sounds like u know how to farm and your barch is at least maxed for your TH. If you war I would at least recommend getting L3 drags and L5 wizards. Once you get to th9 get those xbows right away and that AQ as well. Keep your TH outside and stay in gold 2 and 3 and youll get sniped 80% of the time. Dont let people scare you about getting 3 starred. You get your loot stolen and you steal it back + more!
I loved the TH8 loot so much, I completely maxed it, walls included. I can't say the same for TH9...
If you rush, at least max your troops (including war troops like pekkas and golems) and get your splash damage maxed as well. Also, there's nothing I love more in war than a rushed TH9... easy 3 star with GoWiPe.
Your DE pumps suck.
