I'm th9 and i still use em for raids when i don't have much time to play (2 healers, about 15 giants, 4/8 wizards, barch, 8 wallbreakers, few minions... takes about 40 minutes).
At 1600- 1700 trophies i get great loots and often 3star maxed th8 and low-mid th9.
If you know how to use this strategy it works very fine, especially while farming.
Reading this thread makes me consider using them again.
Since Lava Hounds have been added to the game seeking air mine locations have become predictable - often right next to an air defence to try kill a hound. In the past such mines would be in more random locations making it harder for healers.
So use that to your advantage when placing healers to extend their life.
I still on occasion cook up a few healers. Not often by any means. But I enjoy using them here and there. I've avoided attacking another th10 with them, but any th8-9 with loot is always fair game with them. I will say im intrigued by this so called valkyrie tornado comp. Might have to give that a try.
I like the valkyrie tornado army, currently have lvl3 valks, maxed healers, lvl6 Giants lvl5 heal spell- how far do you think I can get with this as a th9? I will be upgrading valks again soon but getting lvl3 golem first.Quote:

Healers rock.I have been using them since I unlocked them.I attack bases with air d's near the edge.Drop all my Giants and Rage them to destroy it.Then I send in the healers.Easily wreck any base like that.I use a few minions,about 15-20 Giants,6 Wizards and a few barbs plus two healers.170 camp space new TH7
You'll probably eventually switch to Barch, Bam or something else though, from maxed th7 onwards, healers are easily killed by defences. Not to mention all its AI problems.Quote:

this may be a little overkill on the healers, but often i've experimented with appx 12 healers, a couple giants and archers, lightning spells and both heroes. lightning to drop one ad, giants to drop another, heroes go down coupled with healers. i've had a lot of fun romping bases with just my heroes
I'v use healer from time to time, I'm nearly max th8, The problem is most people use 2 healer, 2 is just get kill very easy in higher th so they don't see the benifit. When I have elixir to burn I like 6 healer giant wizard combo. Those healer heal a long time and so see giant getting attacked by everything and sill survive. It's strong enough to raid storage in the core of mid th9 with the proper layout and max th8 with skull wall, Well mostly around 50% 1 star, but you get the dark storage that you been aiming for.
You have to be somewhat carefull about AD placement if they are in the back after the storage, good attack opposite of them healer gonna get killed but only after you get your storage. If they are near the edge hope wizzy can take them soon enough.
However it's long to produce and is relatively expensive in elixir. Giant bomb on your wiz can wreck the attack but you hope your giant will trigger them before. I use two group slightly apart so if one groups failed to traps there still the other one.
