Healer Hate

I am a th10 in masters III. Been to champs 3 times.

When storage raiding I use the Valkyrie Tornado - giant/healer/valk

I have used healers to 3 star bases up to weak th10 and can 2 star mid-th10 with certain layouts.

I get that healers are prone to air mines and vunerable to Air Defenses but that doesn't make them useless. Even infernos can be worked around with certain layouts.

So why do so many people think past th7/8 that these units are useless? I realize why at th10 but why th9?

Is there any th10 players out their that raid with healers? Any th9 guys 3 staring bases with this unit?

I have personally not trained a healer since I was a newbie TH7.
The main reason was that she took too much time to make and clogged the barracks. And an air mine would kill her. Using more than two was extremely time consuming to say the least.
Maybe I will use her one day in the future and find out whether I actually like her/can use her with my style of play.

I can see you are good with healer from what you've said. Would love to get tips from you about using them.

Because HEAL SPELL is unlocked at th 7, and is a lot better than a healer that can die from a few hits with an air defense. i used healers all the time back when i was th 6 since air defences arent that stronk yet and there were no heal spells.

Edit, was wrong heal spell is unlocked at th 6 along with the healer.. so only reason most dont like using healers is they die too fast and heal spells are much better

I used healer in the past, but stopped using them at th8, i made the switch to healspell and stick with that for now. Im th9 now.

army comp, barb arch giant gob wallbreak, lighting and healspell. Works pretty good for me.

Healers die fast and tend to heal the wrong groop of units. Or maybe im using them wrong, lol..

i used giant healer all the way to maxed th9. i thought it was a great way to farm. i even tried recently AQ with healers in master 1. i always went in with 14ish and used however many i needed to keep lvl30 aq alive. i dont think they are useless just needs to be in the right hands.

About 2 months later, I could 3 star maxed to near maxed TH8s with balloonion.

Healers are about blind spots. Air mines are actually very predictable. They tend to be where Air Defenses are!

Healers need not survive a battle of you use them correctly. Especially if you are attacking a rusher.

I visually break a base into sections when I attack based on coverage. Some times I go for an AD, other times just a defensive gap. I actually love those as they tend to be air mine free.

One tactic I love for centralized AD is a sort of rolling assault. I will hit the outside of a base, then move my forces along the outside edge with strategic WB deployment. Then when the blind spot is whipped out send in the Valks and rage. Very effective with the right base

Personally have never used healers with any regularity, but I did used to have a th10 in my clan that used healer/hog with some degree of success.
