Farmers plant stuff on their land and harvest it. AKA your mines and collectors.
I've never heard of farmers going elsewhere and stealing food. Sounds like a hunter to me

Nice bro, the good 'ol arguing over semantics.
They could be hunt and gather clans. Protect resources and hunt for more.
It's a pretty common term in video games.
"Farming refers to a gaming tactic where a player, or someone hired by a player, performs repetitive actions to gain experience, points or some form of in-game currency."

Not quite, that is a different type of farming. You're refering to gold farming which is something entirely different.
I dont really understand how you ARENT a farmer in this. The only way you can is if: you hate loot. Or: you don't play.
Farming is an essential part of CoC. But there are many people who rely more on their collectors and mines than they do on their everyday raids.
People who raid repetitively to gain resources quickly for upgrades are the real farmers.
Its like..."Which side of resource saving are you more inclined to? Raiding or collecting?"
If the answer is raiding, then you are a farmer.
There are many out there who call themselves farmers and go around with dragons and wizards.
Farmers look for minimal losses in terms of troops deployed and resources gained. Isn't that what a real farmer does? (Crops planted, and money spent vs Crops sold, and money gained?).
As real farmers (out of clash) try to plant and harvest as much as they can the farmers in coc try to build troops and gain as much resources as they can. If someone just rely on collecting resoruces this game will take him maybe 10 years to be maxed (he won't be maxed because new content will be addded or the game might go away :p).
