Why can't we keep the troops that don't die when you raid someone and your only required to rebuild the troops that died. It seems strange that they just disappear.

Why can't we keep the troops that don't die when you raid someone and your only required to rebuild the troops that died. It seems strange that they just disappear.
You get to keep the troops, and spells, that you take to battle but don't put on the battlefield. That is pretty good.
Being able to recover troops from the field if they survive battle would cheapen an overwhelmingly strong army, as you could use it to crush weak opponent after weak opponent. The elixir-economic non-viability of using all dragons (for example) against every opponent is an important balance in the game.
I believe that these ideas should be "ruled out" (without caveat) as "game-breaking".
As said before the fairest way to implement something like this is to refund the full elixir cost of the troops not the troops themselves.
