Im in the same situation but I went from l1 Xbows to l3 over the walls. I need about 90 walls left and chose xbows. Get them out of the way.Quote:

Also, once you finish skull walls, it's extremely handy to have a way to siphon off excess loot of either type. This way, if you're saving for 5 million gold for a wizard tower (5.36 shuttup whatever), you can dump all excess elixer in the process. This makes you a much less appealing target.
Keep in mind, though, that attacks are basically equally as successful now (with core lego, all skulls). For the first time, last night, I got attacked by a TH10 maxed GiBarch. He successfully breached into my middle layer, and had giants pounding on a lego wall to get into my core. With less than 100 hp left, a different set of giants that had split off, broke a skull wall in my outer compartments, and it re-routed all the giants away from my core. That was the difference between the guy getting 30% of my available loot, and 75%+. First time I had ever really been super happy to have gotten my lego core.
Just before that I had a loonion attack me for 50% loot (don't have max'd air defenses yet, and my base is set up to weak to minions but strong against typical farming bases).
Walls are great to discourage attacks, but they won't realistically stop serious attempts.
If you farm a lot, leave a free builder so while the defenses are building you can also upgrade your walls.Quote:
