TH8 itching to upgrade to th9, however I would like your feedback and tips.

Hello and thank you for for clicking on my post.
I am a TH8 who is itching to go to th9. However, after seeing so many different opinions on when to upgrade to th9, I am unsure what is the best way to go about it, whether I max everything or upgrade a few things and go to th9.
For the past 3 weeks or so, TH8 has been so boring, watching gem boxes grow has been more enjoyable.

Here are a few stats about my base/account

• TH8, lvl 81
• 210 mil gold grab
• 176 mil elixir escapade
• All defenses maxed in 4 days, final tessla upgrades are finishing.
• 225 lvl 8 walls
• All elixir troops maxed for th8, except pekka, which is still lvl 2. I never use pekkas so i havent really worried about them.
• Minions lvl 3, hogs going to lvl 2. Valks and Golems have not been unlocked yet.
• 3 lvl 10 barracks, 1 lvl 9 barracks.
• Bk going to lvl 8.
• All gold mines are lvl 10 except one is lvl 11
• All elixir drills are lvl 9 except one is lvl 10.
• 2 de drills are lvl 3.

When do you think I should go to th9? And what do you think I should upgrade before th9?

I'm the same as you almost maxed th8, (15 walls to go and 2 barracks) I'd say max everything before going to th9 a few of my clan mates rushed to th9 (all defences done but not barracks or walls ) and are regretting it now. But I know the feeling been itching to lvl up for awhile now :)

Finish upgrading everything you haven't done yet. Those barracks and collectors are a must. It's just more effort to do them once you hit TH9 where resources are tougher to come by. You have to upgrade every single thing you can as it'll help you compete at a higher town hall.

Go up. Research pekkas during the 10 day upgrade. Your walls are maxed and there is no longer a reason to stay in TH8.

Edit: Try to unlock valks and golems in 1 of your Dark barracks as well during the Th upgrade

Totally wrong. You will be a massive premmie and won't be able to compete at TH9. Stay where you are. Max everything and then move on. You won't regret it.

Lol, I moved up with TH7 defenses and 170 skulls 40-50days ago. Now I'm a TH9 with 130 legos. He has no more dumps in resources, so its better to move up. Defenses are useless in this game anyway.

If I had the chance to reset, I would not have upped my Xbows to lvl1

In terms of farming and being able to protect your loot, you're in great shape for townhall 9. Archer queen, lvl 6 giants, xbows, and extra troops all put a lot more fun into the game.

If you want to do well in clan wars, I think you are a little short of options for strong armies. Dragons aren't very good any more once you have to go up against other townhall 9s with 4 air defenses, and dragons are pretty much all you have.

You are going to need strong hogs, golems, witches, or lava hounds to unlock the new 3-star armies, so start working on your dark barracks. I wouldn't worry too much about actually maxing your dark troops before upgrading the townhall, though. It's easier to get de at th 9.

I know it sucks when you want to move up. One thing I will tell you, is that having your regular barracks maxed is a must. Why not finish it now?

And I'd strongly suggest maxing your dark barracks as well.

As for mines and pumps, mine are lower level than yours and they have never bothered me any.

To maximize your builders time your barracks to be done the same time as your townhall.

Thanks for the link. I have read the guide and decided to go to th9 once my barracks and dark barracks are maxed. which will take about 2 weeks or so.

I would like to thank you all for replying. I have taken your replies into consideration and decided to go to th9 once i max my barracks and dark barracks, along with my bk. this should take about 2 weeks or so, and i can do mines/ pumps with spare builders along the way.
