Is it worth it to max your collectors?

I agree with Jun that the only situation in which its better to advance town halls without upgrading collectors is if walls are complete. I disagree about delaying collectors until defenses are done. Bear in mind that the more defenses out of commission to upgrades at any given time the weaker your base is. Better to have fewer defenses out of commission at any given time while starting the return on collector revenues.

So basically keep on with the defensive upgrades, but only 1-2 at a time while the other 3 are on collectors

I maxed all my gold mines... elixer collectors are lvl 10-11 im lvl 62 TH8

Pick the proportions of defense to collector builders on the basis of the respective development of each category. I havent looked at your base and have no opinion on if that proportion is appropriate in your situation. But yes, I'd avoid having all five workers upgrading defenses if you have non-defensive upgrades waiting in the wings.

I didn't max my collectors until level 95... Instead upgraded everything else. Didn't slow me down.

Hm.. its the same theory as upgrading splash towers 1 by 1, or all 3 at once I guess.

Personally I'm the all 3 at once kinda guy.
Shorter period, lesser pain, and if you are farming with th far away from base, why not :)

But yeah, different people different preference.

I rather hit maxed defense asap, so I can test out my base design at their most optimal state, and test them against full fledge th9 lv6 armies attack.

If I always have defense upgrading, then I can't fully determine or judge the potential of my base design.

So in essence you are saying to power through 5 defensive upgrades at once and then work on walls, non-defense to truly test my base out

Hm, maybe not 5 defense at once, but make them a priority.

And you, as your own base designer, got to ask yourself, how many defense upgrading at once would be optimal for your base.

Like for my base, having 1 AD and 2 single target defense upgrading at once was the most optimal, due to building position, exposure etc.

But yeah, there is no hard and fast rule, and I'm just sharing my thoughts and my way of handling such situation. Its up to you :)

In the end, try to have atleast max gold mines(elixir collectors optional) before th9, in my opinion.

Definitely worth it. Nuff said
