The BIG Question: Upgrade Xbows Now or Later?

I have only been TH9 for a little over a week now. I still have a ways to go before maxing out, obviously but would it help me more if I max my xbows now or later? If I do them now, assuming I have both going that's 2 builders down for 10 days, and then 14 for the next level. But if I do get them done now then when I farm in the future my resources would not be as susceptible to Barch and Bam and I would be more intimidating. I am a fairly active player, but I do not think I will be as active the next couple weeks, so I think that if I farm out the resources and do it now then it would not hurt as much.

Should I do them now or no? And what is the best range for gold I am currently at 1864 trophies.

After the camps and spell factories are done, I'd definitely upgrade the x-bows back to back till you are maxed. Those bows are what makes a difference between a TH9 and a TH8 defensively.

Definitely to two now, but you may want to wait on three for a while. I'd get the new buildings to max TH8 first then come back and revisit taking the xbows to three. You can always dump excess gold into walls until you are more active again.

Upgrading them is a good idea though if you can farm them both right away. But be careful if you war, they get you matched against much stronger opponents in war.

Rip that bandaid off and take them to level 3 back to back. They have a huge intimidation factor at level 3. Plus they are your most expensive upgrade at TH9 so you want to get them out of the way first.

I recently went through the same decision. I went straight to lvl2 and stopped. Going to do my mortars and WT's, then I'll go to level 3. It seems much more effective overall to have two lvl7 WT's and two lvl7 mortars in the same timeframe would lead to an overall better defense and less lopsided war matches. Just having two xbows in general seems to deter BARCH other than lvl7.

I am in the same boat as you, except that I will be quite active next few days. I think you should go with your real life restrictions, and do long duration upgrades while you expect to be less active.

BTW, in Gold II-I range, I am not getting barched. I am either sniped or I am hit by lvl 7 giants with lvl 20+ heroes and cleaned out for 700k :(

Recommend upgrading xbox as well for the "fear factor" :D

I like upgrading teslas to max first. But that's me.

Upgrade for sure. I couldnt careless bout defend, my clanmates still got wrecked by th10 even with max th9 defence. Just make sure you dont hold much rss and stay low in trophies.
