Cant spend elixer as fast as gold

So I am now in the farming stage of the game as I realized there's no point to start fighting to win throphies before I get to TH 9.
I am on TH6 (7 in the build) and I spend my time now massing up armies and looking for raids that will give me around 100,000 resources per raid.

Even when I aim more to get gold, I also get alot of elixer too.
The thing is, I got plenty of things I can use gold for (like maxing my walls instantly for example), but I cant find enough stuff to use my elixer for (armies are rather cheap) ...

So now im in a situation when I am already maxed with elixer and there is no joy in stealing it as I cant steal more than the max and I got no use for it ...
Are you guys in a similar spot ?
I think its kinda sux that I can get it easily but cant really use it ...

Yeah, it sucks. I have 4m gold and elixir and I'm waiting for my th8 in 1.5 days.

Same here! I get elixer when not needed. Most of the time i don't even know where the elixer came from!!!

Not sure if this gonna change in the later part of the game (TH9), but if not I think they should find more ways for Elixer to be usefull ....
Its kinda silly to have a resource, to have ability to steal it ... but have no real use for it most of the time.

Extra elixir at least at th8 can now be dumped in the millions on lvl four dark barracks I've spent
10 mil on one and 2 mil on the other soon to be 6 mil

When you get to town hall 9 you can't have enough elixir

Isn't that only in early stages?

Pretty sure it's throughout, lvl 6 troops are expensive, and to keep the x bows full is gonna be alot
Plus upgrading dark elixir drill and storage

Forgot about drills but xbows is only 100k a day or so...not bad at all

Its not bad but your storage wont be overflowing like they are now
