Why is it that top players orclan don't do clan wars? I have seen many top clans where they have set the war frequency as rarely.

I don't see the pattern you reported. When I look at the top clans, I see a variety of settings from always to once a week. Not that the setting means anything - I saw one that said "rarely" but had over 100 wins. Out of all the clans I looked at, I didn't see one with fewer than 30 wins. My conclusion is that they're no different than other clans. They war as much as their members want.
well, the higher cup range are focusing on pushing for more
and people up there, are mostly gemmers
what does a clan war give?
war loot
clan stars (achievement)
war loot gold (achievement)
fun (subjective)
they don't 'need' loot, as they can gem
they don't really need that those achievements for extra gems, they can pay anyway
and fun, it's subjective, they maybe having fun pushing than CW in essence
those precious resources/time/gems spend on a troop comp, can be used in pushing, instead if Warring
I have been surprised just how bad some of the members of some of the top clans are at attacking.
As stated above, its all about time/effort.
For them to stay so high in cups, its a ridiculous amount of playing time.
Every second they are willing to give to clash has to be spent pushing.
In answer to Growler, its not that surprising.
Pushing is about win, just, at any cost. Go for 2* by all means, but as long as the win is safe, no matter how narrowly, its a win, and no huge cup loss.
You still see plenty of (highly practiced) hog attacks in top wars, but due to their rather all or nothing nature, very few in pushing.
Check Ice Ice Baby. Nuff said.
The nice thing about the game is that it is different for everyone. You can push or farm. You can farm in champions or you can farm sub-200. You can do clan wars or not. You can stay in a clan forever or you can go clan-less.
That brings me to one of the things that I most hate about the game: The vocal people on global and some people on here think that there is only one way to play the game. They disparage zappers, gemmers, rushers, etc. because someone isn't playing the game that they want to.
I hate war and I hate pushing. To me, they are both counter productive to the main goals that I have for the game, upgrading everything to max and leveling up. When I am max I will do one of two things, learn to enjoy wars and pushing or quit the game. I am not sure which yet.
