Question about buying 14000 gems

I am at town hall 7
- max defenses and walls.
- Barbarian king Lv2
- research max except balloon.
- 2 lv9 and 2 lv7 barracks
- lv 1 DB.
-4 builders

I just started up th7 30 mins ago.

I heard it take 5 months to max hall 8, so I want to buy 14000 gems to speed up the process. (Btw Should I instant upgrade th8 or wait 8 days before spending gems)

I am planning to spend gems only for upgrade buidings which are take more than 3 days to finish. I will wait to get enough resource and click instant upgrade those buildings.

My question is how much time would I can save in the way to max hall 8.

Max th8 does not take 5 months it takes about 2 but some have done it in far less, I would recommend never spending money on this game as it can all be easily achieved for free, up to you though

Shouldn't take 5 months, given you actively keep most of your builders going and miss out on a few lab upgrades.

I like to gem the gold for my air defenses. I love those suckers so much 😊

I quitted this game 1.5 year ago. I just have reinstalled it last month and found out my friends are very far ahead. So I want to buy some gems to catch up with them. How many days 14000 gems would save if I only use for upgrading troops and defences buidings. No gems will be used for filling up resources.

I was TH8 until a week ago and here is the deal with TH8 - the buildings themselves take around 3 months to complete. But what will take nearly 5 months is the lab research time. So, my suggestion is this:

- If 3 months is acceptable to you, then don't use gems on speeding up builders. Instead, see what research you want to complete before moving to TH9. If it is more than the builder time, then use the gems to complete lab research.

- If you want less than 3 months, then use some gems on builder time and some on getting the research that you want done. To be honest, 14000 gems might not cover it if you want a good amount of research done.

Highly recommended: If you aregoing to gem lab research time, then I definitely suggest that you gem archers and barbs lvl 5. Why? Because it will make TH8 farming a breeze. I am using lvl 5 barch at TH9 as I am upgrading balloons to lvl 6 first and they are doing just fine.

Enjoy TH8 - it has amazing loot and you get really powerful troops for clan wars too. After using lvl 3 dragons, lvl 4 hogs and GoWiPe, you won't even remember TH7 attacking armies :)

I would say that you should plan on more than 2 months at th8. With 4 builders:

Cannons take 7 days

Archer towers take 9 days

Air defense takes 8 days (only three though)

Teslas take an outrageous 18 days! (Only three again)

Barracks are 6 days

BK is like 17 days or so..

And so on and so forth, I am sure someone has done the calculations for the most efficient way of upgrading at th8, and I bet it is at least 3 months. Then there are the skull walls to figure in. You have to grind out 100 million gold for them. That is no small task.

Buy all the builders huts. Save rest of gems for barracks boosting and spell plus hero boosting. The boosting can speed up your raids increasing your income 3-4 times your normal amount. This will speed up upgrades and wall building plus hero upgrades. Other then that i really wouldn't spend gems except maybe to speed up builds when your resources are full enough for more upgrades.

Doing it it like that will make maxing th8 go very quick maybe 3 months or so plus leave you with gems for th9 boosting. Then again depends on how much you boost and speed up.

I've never had that much to spend so would struggle with a full plan.

Lemme see...

First purchase should be a 5th builder. To forever assist you.

Then I would level up spell factory & barracks. Because when they are upgrading you cannot use them which is really restrictive. Be good to get those out of the way if you have the gems to enjoy unrestricted raiding for longer.

After that I would keep the remaining gems to gem time off hero upgrades when you start them. Sleeping heroes are no fun!

IIRC, 1 week "Finish now" costs 1000 gems. 1 day "Finish now" costs 250 gems.
Resource costs you can check from the Store.

To use gems optimally for speeding up the game, then
- make sure you have 5 builders first.
- gem the longest-taking items first (like AD, Tesla) as it gives you better gems/saved days ratio.
- don't buy resources, boost barracks and farm instead.
