Some stats - One thing worth noting, the spell duration, radius and mimic strength are adjustable if considered too OP.
Level 1 - duration of 15 seconds 10% strength mimics
Level 2 - duration of 15 seconds 15% strength mimics
Level 3 - duration of 15 seconds 20% strength mimics
Spell Radius - 3.5 tiles
Spell cost - 28,000 elixir for level 1
Cook time- 45 mins
Lab level - 9 if they make one :)
I believe the mimic spell would add a different dimension to attacking, for example I can see it being very effective against xbows/multi target inferno towers. When dropped, any troop within the spell area creates a copy of itself which for level 1 has 10% stats of the original troop.
So for example a level 4 hog rider would produce a copy which has:
Damage per second - 9.2
Hit Points - 41.5
1. The mimic troop can only exist within the spell area, therefore it will disappear if the original steps outside of the spell radius
2. The mimic troop disappears when the spell runs out.
3. The other way the mimic troop dies is if it is destroyed by the Village defences.
4. Each troop only produces one mimic per spell, it cannot re-enter the same spell and create another.
5. If the original troop is killed so is the mimic
6. Overlapping spells do not create 2 mimics, only one can exist at any one time per troop.
- Offensive Strategy
- This spell is more effective on single target defences or multi target infernos. Be careful of splash damage defences otherwise the spell is not utilized to its maximum capability, making it much less valuable to use.
- The effects of the Mimic Spell do not change if you drop more than one spell in the same area, so be careful not to use two in the same place!
- Especially with the new Archer Tower AI, Mimic Spells can be quite useful for overwhelming single target defences.
- With a Mimic Spell however it's best to use when more than one defence can be destroyed within the short time frame and within the area of the spell.

POTENTIAL PITFALLS & POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
Spamming the spell - there is only one or two mimic troops that can survive a well levelled mortar strike or wiz splash, most mimic troops are one hit wonders against the most likely level of defences they face, also only one mimic can exist per troop at any one time regardless of overlapping spells. (Player7)
Spell duration revised to a fixed duration with increasing strength to the mimic troops instead (pixlon)
Added a spell cost, Cook time and lab level unlock. (MATHSTER)
This spell will work for witch's skeletons,golemites and lava pups if it was a TH11 spell. (DominusClashofClanus)
I am more than willing to answer any potential pitfalls you see with this spell and add them to this list^^, always willing to improve this idea :)
N.B. After searching the forums more, I have seen a few ideas similar to this one, I still think this has been better presented and thought out, however similar spell ideas to this have been mentioned.
