I use Barb and Arch for a CoC living. I can say it doesn't suck. :)
Every troop has its pros and cons, stop this trend of hating on individual troops. To create an effective army you must combine the strengths of different units, so they achieve what a a single type of troop can not.
Troops can't suck in attacks alone. It the user, and how the user use's them that makes them effective or not.... Practice makes perfect. Keep trying!
I use Barbarians as meat shields, with Archers behind them and I've never had an issue unless I just sucked during the attack. And that does happen. Everyone always ends up having a crappy attempt to raid once in a while. I know I've never not screwed up an attack lol!

Lesmog, once again, just because you don't know how to use a certain troop DOES NOT mean they suck. Every teir 1 troop is good and can be use very effectively in the hands of a good attacker. L2p
