So one of the kids, level 34, in my clan got gems (or money to buy gems) for Christmas, and gemmed his town hall to TH9, some level 6 walls, bought the king and queen, etc, but is a beginner, barely has any upgraded resources, has nearly no playing skill, and is upset that he never has enough resources to build armies. Of course, he suffers the huge loot penalty due to his TH9.
What should this kid be advised to do?
Should he re-install the game and start again?

just get him to barch in gold 3, and to ignore any upgrades except for getting barch up. Gold can go on defenses, sure, but elixir should be getting barbarians and archers up, once those are 5 and 6 he should have no problem getting loot and can focus on upgrading other things. will be tough holding onto any significant amount of loot, but a farming base should help with that.
