Need help with Drag Attacks in clanwars [urgent, getting rekt] [smh]

Yah so this happened twice in a row in about two wars, and ending up with only 1 star on first attack and none on the sec. This is REALLY frustrating. All after the main reason: freaking dragons deciding to betray you and go to the outer buildings instead of doing destrctuion inside...

This happens Everytime, i used to be good at using drags without having problems but this started happening lately..


So i came here for some help if any one of you generous people mind sharing a trick/ tip or a video maybe? Thanks alot 🙌

P.S: im a fresh th8, my compo is 10drags (and one drag in C.C) with 3 lightings spells to take out one AD.

Hi - Maybe try maxed loons in your CC instead. But if you need specific help, you should attach a picture of the base you plan to attack.

Op: there's a couple guides on here (see one up top). Try out loons in your CC too.

I would suggest bring 2 rage and 1 heal.

3 lightning doesn't work well against TH8s unless 2 as are close to one another and near the edge of the base. Here are a few links to 3 star attack replays for TH8 attackers that you might find useful. base design will often determine the best troop composition to use.

I bring 3 rage but I'm not the best drag user by no means. 3 lightning you can with your eyes closed against TH7...but Th8 you need rage.

The concern you bring up about straying drags, you have to understand:

1) Drags attack nearest buildings. They're like barbarians. Instead of spamming in one place....I would spam either in a line along the length of the base nearest the highest level AD, or for 2-3 dragons to go astray to clear trash buildings. Then send your 5-6 kill squad towards the TH

2) They will prioritize CC troops, skeleton traps, over defenses. You know where the CC is, so you can use this to your advantage. If ADs are weirdly placed or slightly offset, you can predict how the CC will pull your dragons into the base. If CC not in a favorable position, most likely it's off the edge. I would lure with my BK, kill CC with 2 drags and proceed with #1 above.

I was never really a fan of mass dragon armies besides maybe some overnight builds overnight. One thing I have seen in wars recently is to sacrifice your barbarian king in the beginning to clear outside buildings and release your dragons then.
